Benefits fight

I have Rheumatoid arthritis, Type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, Tinnitus and Labyrinthitis. After doing extensive research into the illnesses and conditions I found I was at a greater risk of other underlying illnesses such as I.S.L, Pneumonia, Asthma and Bronchitis which I had a s a child. I have had a two to three year battle with the benefits system since the government brought in a new law to false all parents (Mothers) out to work. I was raising three children, two of which had a statement of special educational needs. I am 48 years old and still have my youngest child at home. I was finally accepted on the E.S.A main faze W.R.A.G last year in September. Last month I was moved over from the W.R.A.G to the support group. Then finally I received a letter from D.W.P awarding me D.L.A! I have been put on the higher rate mobility and middle rate care because I have to have someone help care for me in many ways and it's risky for me to be out on my own because of the Labyrinthitis and Type 2 Diabetes if I fall into unconsciousness . At last I can breath a sigh of relief and do not have to stress out any more, which I can do with out at my age.

Thank you guys for your lovely responses. It just goes to show that if at first you don't succeed try and try again.......even if it does take a toll on your health. It's nice to know also there are some friendly supporters out there who know what you are going through. Thank you again.
