I am looking to have LVRS done at Stoke this summer and would like to know if there is anyone out there that has undergone this at this hospital. I am keen to find out about the nursing after care and success rates etc as I know someone who doesn't have much good to say about the place. To be honest I am very scared and to hear something like this doesn't help at all so I need to find out as much as possible about the whole caboodle. I would go to another hospital if necessary.

I had LVRS at the Royal Brompton in Oct 2018 .The care and staff there are second to none .I couldn't wish for a better place .Good luck with your journey .
How long were you in the Brompton for and what was it like as my surgeon is overseeing my Pulmonary rehab etc to see how i get on before seeing if I can have the op
I was discharged after 10 days .I spent 3 days on high dependency ward then a normal ward for the rest of the time .The care I had was second to none .I hope you get sorted out and feel happy to have your op as anxiety is not very nice and impedes your recovery .
It may be the particular ward and medical department that had issues and the others are OK. I had really poor op aftercare at nearby Leighton but when talking to other patients, it was just the ortho department that was poor, not others. That consultant has now moved on.
