Hi I have been a long term asthmatic and I was wondering if people could recommend a light weight portable nebuliser going on holiday soon and was wondering which was the best for ventolin and serevent nebules . If you have any experience with them good or bad let me know. Also are the battery AA size reliable or should i get plug in one?
Looking forward to hearing from you all.
Have a comfortable day everyone.

I have an earlier version of the Omron MicroAir U100 portable nebuliser & find it VERY GOOD - needs 2 x AA batteries , just take a couple of spares or buy the optional AC adaptor ( £99 from <evergreen-nebulisers.co.uk> or £125 with adaptor ) . Hope this helps . . .
they have never let me down and they take the time to explain the different types so you get the best model to suit you. Like Diana I have the Omron U100 and find it great.
I bought an Aura portable nebulizer through Amazon. I'm in the U.S., so not sure if you can get it. It is pricey, but works great. It's very small, quiet and fast. Can be plugged in or use with batteries.
Yes, the Omron Microair is brilliant. Tiny. Gives you steam rather than a stream of liquid. Works with saline, Ventolin and other drugs. I have two, one with batteries, the other with A?C adaptor. Evergreen are brilliant. Helpful, give you best price, send promptly. Tip:buy bulk cheap-offer batteries, they do run out. Hand luggage by air. Can't recommend highly enough.
If you just need for hols, why don't you ask your surgery if you can borrow one. I ended up in hospital (quite a few years ago now), just before I got married. I was supplied with a portable nebuliser to take on honeymoon to Canada. Luckily, I only needed to take it once. Normally if going away, I just make sure to take a volumatic. I am lifelong brittle asthmatic, now with COPD.
AnnaMT makes a good point, if it's just for the hols, most clinics will loan one to you.
If you think it might be better to own one for those awful days, I suggest not getting the AA battery ones. I had one an it devoured batteries. I've just this week taken delivery of the Clement Clarke AirMed. It's rechargeable and mains powered and I'm impressed. I've been using their products at home for years and never had a problem! Best of luck and above all, enjoy the hols!!
