Good afternoon all, I've only very recently joined the Community which came about during my (sometimes not to be recommended) search for information on COPD - which the doctor says I may or may not have - it might be a long term but different problem; it's still under investigation.
I know what it's like, particularly when you find yourself living on your own, when you're confronted with something worrying that you don't understand and have nobody close to talk to . I try to keep a positive approach but it's good to know that there's loads of people out there with whom I can communicate should the need arise.
I hope you all have the best day possible - the sun is out here and I'm happy today!

Hello Woofer and welcome, Im pleased to hear you stay positive it's the best way. There is always someone here to talk too. Have a lovely day and take care of yourself.😊 Bernadette xx
Hi Caspiana, thank you very much for your message. Yes, that's a picture of Daisy, my best friend and closest companion for the last ten years. Sadly I had to have her put to sleep a few months ago; she was 15 and had an inoperable tumour under the ribs. I do miss her a lot, it's all so quiet here now.
How sad. While we can maybe get another, we can never get a replacement. Each of my furry friends has been very special in their own doggy or feline way.

Hi Woofer, I'm new to this site too and alone having recently lost my partner who was very supportive. Scary on a bad day but try to stay positive and it is so much easier when the sun is out. There seems to be a lot of good people and support on here.
Hello and welcome Woofer! I'm quite new here too and I ended up here the same way you did! I hope you find everyone to be as helpful, kind and supportive as I have. I've recently found myself living on my own now too with my 7 year old son and understand how hard it can be. Looking forward to hearing more about you. x
Hello there Woofer ! 😁 Great to see you've found this forum. Obviously it is a fundamentally "lung issues" site, but most members find themselves engaging in other conversations too. Looking forward to having a chat!
