I need some advice , I've had infection after infection since November , antibiotics and steroids November December January February and March dr finally gave me high dose of steroids and double dose antibiotics , which so far seems to have worked.
My problem is I feel so tried all the time anytime I try to do anything even a little housework I get so tired I have to go and sit down .
My dr only gives me a sick line on a weekly basis , and I feel I have to beg him for it
I'm due back at work on Tuesday ,and I know I'm not well enough to be there , my boss is lovely she helps me as much as she can and knows I'm not ready to come back , I told her I really didn't want to have to ask the dr for a onother sick line , so she suggested taking a weeks holidays
I'm annoyed because I feel I shouldn't have to use my holidays , as last two days I've felt worse my body is acheing my head is bursting
I'm sorry my post is so long and winded , but I'm just wondering has anybody felt the same as this after infections
I now seemed to have swapped antibiotics and steroids for painkillers
Thanks for being here I appricate everyone's posts ,I've learned so much about copd from being on here
Sorry for the moan 😞

I have been having the same issues as you since September through January 6th. I went to ER via aid car and was admitted for RSV and COPD exasperation. Stayed 10 days, I have been home 3 weeks and I still have days where I feel bad not being able to do much. Keep your face to the sunshine!
Hi my name is Sarah and ive only just been told that like u I have copd. Like u I feel tired all the time but im lucky in the sense that I dont work. im currently a uni student and have another 3 years to do. How do u cope with your condition? I have managed to find a support group to attend. All I need to have happen now is for them to ring me. Have u thought of joining one? Sounds like u are really struggling with work. I no its not for everybody but have u thought about giving up work and claiming benefits. It would certainly take the pressure of. Due to my copd and also having mental health problems I currently claim benefits and although it does have its draw backs im glad that I did it. I currently do some voluntary work once a week to get me back into the swing of things. What support do u have? can u get support from family and friends? My friends are amazing but lead very busy lives so I decided to have some counselling I only got told that I have copd a week age and have found it very hard to come to terms with. I find talking to people helps.
