Hi everyone I wanted to send my warmest thoughts to those who were good friends to skis aka Mike 💗 I don't personally come on here very often but I was shocked and to be honest it left a lump in my throat R.I.P Mike xxx.
Just coming o here to let everyone know how I'm going I'm still struggling with what everyone suspects dysfunctional breathing, ive started cbt counselling now so I hope that helps my symptoms on a daily basis are blouting breathing through chest I'm told by so many professionals that is dysfunctional breathing and not copd not on a ny inhalers but these symptoms I'm having its like I. Swallowing air and getting blouted strange 🤔 in 2019 my fev1 was 93% fvc 109% fev1/fvc was 68% according to my doctors and British lung nurses all of them say the same thing you gave up smoking at the right time in your life copd will not bother you much at all and I may never need an inhaler but this dysfunctional breathing is horrible on its own I don't really what to think any ones opinion is very much appreciated xxx

Good to hear from you again Bryan and thank you for the lovely words regarding Mike. He will be very much missed. Sorry to hear you’re still having problems with the dysfunctional breathing. I don’t know anything about it but hope things improve for you over time.
Hopefully the CBT will help you Bryan but it will take time so be patient. Take reassurance from the doctors telling you that you haven't got lung disease with the added bonus that you gave up smoking too.
Sorry Bryan, I missed that bit of your post. I do hope the counselling helps and maybe you could have another chat with your doctor about your test results and ask for a clearer explanation. Wishing you well.
Are you on asthma community forum? Lots of people there talk about dysfunctional breathing pattern so you may pick up some additional information there.
Yes I was saddened on Thursday when I heard Mike had died and even though I wasn't surprised by the news it was still a shock though hearing that.
On one hand I am glad for Mike that he's no longer suffering but sad for his loss.
Hi Bryan. I posted this to someone on the asthma forum earlier. I’m sure you’d benefit from it. Changing the way you breathe isn’t easy but it can make a huge difference. The course is completely free.
Hi Bryan nice to hear from you again, things do take the but you will get there. Keep doing everything you are doing at the moment and it's great you have stopped smoking. Have a good evening and take care 😊 Bernadette and Jack 🐕 xxxxxx 🌻🌻
Gd to see u Bryan.pleased to hear u r continuing with treatment and CBT.its not an easy journey but i admire you for it. It may be that the picture resembled copd, prior to diagnoses of dysfunctional breathing.it does happen that diagnosis can change, when there are more complex problems.hang on in there Bryan x
Hi Bryan nice to hear from you again.there are breathing exercises to help on the breathe easy/ blf website, I am not sure if they will help but I hope so.
