I made it through my first shift at work since the cold that triggered asthma. I woke up sick January 16. Started antibiotics January 28 and prednisone January 29.

I went 15 months without oral prednisone this time! Personal record 😀

That’s quite a record, Tree! I’m on a record for me too. It’s amazing, ten months without pred and counting! I’m linking it to moving house, away from a factory across a valley...,lived there eighteen years but didn’t realise the link....just thought my asthma was worsening with age.

I’m still having asthma responses to perfumes, fine dust and all, but it clears with my reliever inhaler over two days max, and suddenly it’s gone. Still having to avoid triggers, it’s not that good!

Maybe I’ve just not had an infection yet? I am responding to sore throats promptly this year with vitamin C and zinc lozenges. Fingers crossed. Hope all stays well for you back at work.

I'm sensitive, too. I got a Christmas present from my own mother that had such a perfume smell that I was unable to keep it!

Well done. That’s a great achievement. Do you have any tipps you would share as to how you achieved that.

My goal is a year free of the dreaded steroids.

I started Xolair injections monthly almost 3 years ago. The first year was rough. Asthma was bad and I was on steroids for 6 months! It took a year for me to see that it was making a difference. Since then, I was off 5.5 months then 15 months. Prednisone click resets in 3 dwys😁Clock

You are brave. I once Googled those injections but they put the fear of god into me. Well done for sticking with it. Hope it continues for you. Thanks again.

I have been lucky enough to only have one mild reaction (knock on wood) that required a dose extra of antihistamine. I do have to carry an epi pen for 48 hours after injection.

That’s great to hear!! Past three years have averaged one course of Prednisolone every month or so. 😤

Maybe the course needs to be longer or there is an underlying issue triggering.

Keep going and avoid prednisone like plague!! 🤞🍀🤞
