I also have severe spinal stenosis and the collar of vertebrae on L 4 has collapsed on to L 5 so a lot of nerve pain. I am also having ILD investigations plus a large HH taking up lung space. I supplement my Gabapentin with CBD oil. I mention this to my consultants and receive very little comments. X
you where able to drop off the gabapentin ? and are you on micophenalate and thank you so much for your responds
I personally don't find much pain relief from CBD oil, I use CBD drops from CBD Brothers, but I do find it helps with lifting my mood. For the time being I am on Gabapentin 1200mg per day, only started using it in December. I can't tolerate codeine or any opiate drugs. I have had rheumatoid arthritis for 33 years so take naproxen, plus methotrexate and Humira as the main drugs for this. Also other conditions with their meds. We are all different in our reaction to medications and had hoped for a better outcome from the CBD oil. How is your wife finding it. X
she only been on it for a week and doesn't need as much codeine but still take the gabapentin and she also has osteo arthritis anyway we saw the lung specialist yesterday and she said the oil is ok no problem at all next is waiting for the pain management clinic to call they are very busy here well thank you for sharing Gigi and wishing the best Gilles
Just to add, I looked at your profile and see you are in Canada, where I understand you can get CBD oil from you practitioner. Have you checked with your wife's respiratory consultant as to any contradictions with medications she is on. I am waiting to see my repiratory consultant with the results of the CT scans and breathing tests. My appointment is the end of Feb. He has been away !!! I asked my pain management physio to look up the CT results but would only say you have some fibrosis. I also asked my neurosurgeon and she only told me my hiatus hernia was very large and taking up lung space and would have to wait to see the chest consultant. I have a CT scan for my spine and flexi X-Ray's on the spine on the 30th Jan to see if an op is possible, but I have osteoporosis as well. The MRI showed how unstable my spine is. I have been on long term low dose steroids for 33 years and they have weakened my bones. It's all a balance but pain get you down. X
I so want that for my back CBD would be so good Australia haven't made it legal yet does it help with your pain Canada have made it legal
I live in the states, in California, recreational and medical cannibis is available. I think there are different concentrations/potencies of CBD, so it is always good to try. From my friends and self the results vary. You can look and see if there is a higher concentration available. I also use magnesium oil (topical) since it is a natural relaxer. The effect builds up. Have to start small, can irritate the skin. Magnesium relaxes the airways. Sometimes I put magnesium oil on my feet to help me get a deep sleep.
that's very interesting I will let her know that my wife is also from California we would love to go back but heath care there is a little pricy thank you Brenda
