I have recently been diagnosed with copd and prescribed 2 inhalers
At the moment don t have problems with my breathing but have a continuous cough which is debilitating. Waiting to see the nurse for my follow up appointment. To be honest I don't know if the inhalers are supposed to help or not with the coughing.

Hi Pattie welcome to the site, inhalers help to open up your airways so I suppose a way they do help with your cough. Please keep posting as there is lots of good advice on here and lovely friendly people in take care and have a great weekend 😊 Bernadette xx
It’s important to rinse your mouth/ throat after each inhaler use. Preferably to gargle as the irritation to your throat lining will prolong or worsen your cough. I also gargle with warm salt water before bed to sooth my throat so I can sleep uninterrupted without the coughing. Very common side effect or taking any inhalers unfortunately.
You must use your inhalers, but it could, and I repeat could, be that they are not the best fit for you. Your nurse will help you with that, but I had one that caused me to cough and when changed that stopped though I do still have a cough!
