After having a coughing and painful chest over Christmas went and saw my G.P. After being on an inhaler called Trilogy (spelt wrong I know) for 2 weeks I've been taken off that and now put on one called TRIMBOW, my coughing has now got more violent and nearly throwing up. I've now had this cough for 7 weeks and I've had enough, nothing seems to work, Sorry for going on so.

Trimbow makes me.cough .too. I am trying to get an appointment to get off trimbow. Sorry I haven't tried trelegy. But, I need my spiriva back. And you can't use it with these triple inhalers. I hope you get sorted soon. Love pat xx

They switched me to Trelegy a couple months back. Seems to be working ok, though it has a bad aftertaste. Advair and Breo, and then the Spirva, didn't have much of a taste at all. Sorry about the cough/bronchitis Izzy. I'm not familiar with Trimbow.

Trimbow did not agree with my mother. She ended up in hospital four times, beginning with pneumonia (despite having the jab) and ending up with a blood clot, which luckily dispersed on its own. She is now back on Spiolta, using steroids as necessary and using a nebuliser.

It is a very new drug with a limited amount of trials.

Hope you feel better soon.

my doc stopped my relvar and aclidiium bromide and put me on trelegy, two weeks later i was off trelegy and back on my old favourites, trelegy made me feel terrible, nearly an exaberation.

I think it is so hard to find the right inhaler as we are all so different. I dont like any of the powder inhalers as they seem to get stuck in my throat, my gp has been very good, I am now on seretide and not the powder. I only use one puff which suits me, if I take two I end up with a very heavy chest the next day. I have only been on this a short time but it seems to be working better than all the others. Hope you find a suitable one soon xx

Do you take only one puff of Seretide as directed by your doctor or did you decide this? I am on Seretide too (and Spiriva) since September but in recent weeks I started getting various side effects so stopped taking the Seretide for a week to see if things improved, which they did. But my breathing deteriorated so much that I started taking the Seretide again. The symptoms came back, so a few days ago I again stopped the Seretide but my breathing is worsening and I cough all the time. I'm supposed to take 2 puffs morning and evening. Maybe I should try just one. If it works for you there must be enough medication in one puff to have an effect but maybe not so much as to cause side effects. I know we are all different, and medications work differently for us all. But I might try that and maybe I'll find a happy medium.

Hi Izzy, i should be taking two puffs twice per day as instructed but found that I was very heavy chested and developed a cough so knocked it down to one puff once per day late afternoon which suits me, I have been fine on this and it keeps my chest from being congested. I have always been a rebel and if things dont work for me then I stop or dont use it. I dont thimk doctors are always right so use common sense. Thats not to say that you shouldnt follow instuctions , but I was treated for asthma for years with the wrong medication , I know my own body so treat it accordingly. Each to their own. X

Hope you get some help very soon.

Non stop coughing is very tiring, not to say embarrassing and thoroughly annoying.

Good wishes
