Dry cough for two months now

Hi everyone, My cough started after I got a fever and colds. I went for a consultation last July 16, 2018 and the diagnosis is Acute Upper Resporatory Track Infection. The doctor prescribed me an antibacterial and sinecod forte. I also got an X-ray and the result was negative. After Two weeks, I went back again for another check up since my cough won't go away. This time my diagnosis was Allergy coughing. So the Pulmonologist prescribed me Levopront for persistent coughing and a tablet for allergy coughing (I forgot the name). After consuming the prescribed meds my coughing is still bothering me. and lately I've been experiencing back pain and a chest pain that is not constant. So I consulted again for the third time with another pulmonologist. I was then prescribed medicines for allergy coughing after stated all the symptoms I am experiencing. I hope that this would solve my condition now.

Hi Rexer, sorry to hear you still have the dreaded cough, I have had mine since having a cold in December and nothing will shift it, still waiting to get my sinus' checked, the consultant thinks it is an allergy and must admit allergy tablets help but cant stay on them. I also get chest pains through coughing, daily clearance of mucus also helps alot. Keep us updated on how you get on x

Yours started last december? Im so sorry to hear that too. I was told by the doctor that if after I consume the prescribed meds, and nothing happens, I will have another chest x-ray for the second time.

Hi Rexer, ask him for a ct scan instead it seems to show up more than an x ray.irene x

Maybe if this won't stop. I would request for a CT scan. also I don't have pleghm. It's totally a dry cough. Mainly daytime and I don't cough whenever I'm about to sleep.
