Today is examples of dobble talk in medicine FEEL free to add your example.

I was told my colon polyps was normal YET when I read pathology report 2 had removed SAID the had signs of low grade displaysia.

Hardly normal MAKES me glad am not a women.

On other issue they said I had normal ecg YET I found out I have never had two the same ecg and always come back abnormal.

I guess you could say iS normal for me.

On serious NOTE 📝 can someone please invent system app that trauls my medical records for patterns in symptoms commen theams IN order to flag disease illnesses pathways AS looking through my medical 600 page medical records my GP doctors are NOT the least intrested even when presented with medical record common theame

I was told at the beginning of the the year my heart was fine, in September I find out that I needed blood thinners because my heart was beating to fast.

Doctors are good at that. Pete may well be in over Christmas so is very upset. Just one doctor felt he had to share that news with Pete. I don’t know if they’re even sure what’s going on.

I’ll see what the skin doc says tomorrow. Very fed up.

Oh dear, Carole....what an early call to be talking about Christmas in hospital now!! Poor Pete....how depressing.

Hope I’m not making things worse, but when my dad had sepsis, he was in hospital for almost three months, with one thing leading to another. He came out cured in the end though....but a long and tiring spell all round. Take care, love 💕 Penny xx

Maybe some soothing music for him, through headphones/ear pieces? My dad liked a bit of classical, Skis knows some good classical guitar if that appeals. Just occasionally took him out of the hospital sounds and busyness, and whiled away a few evening hours. I rigged up Last Night of the Proms for his last week! Suited his taste....but you’ll know what suits Pete....a talking book?, though that needs a bit of concentration, which he might not have while poorly.

Thank you Penny. Pete has his iPad and can FaceTime me. Our daughter has tried FaceTime to him but he doesn’t answer. I’ll check when there.

Pete loves comedy so he has what he likes on the iPad plus ELO on YouTube.

I sassy sorry to hear petes still in hospital.

I know you will be on the ball when it comes to making sure Pete is looked cared for .. but do agree not great about Xmas hopefully with your supervision treatment Pete will be well enough to come home.

Try to be positive if Pete can’t have Xmas at home TAKE Xmas to him.

That’s what we did sassy SEND Pete my luv and let’s get him home.

What a shock for Pete and you too, to be told that he might still be in the hospital at Christmas. But, it was just one doctor. Some doctors, sadly, feel they are entitled to be bearers of bad news. Even when there is no bad news to bear. Being positive and hopeful is a big part of getting better, so what’s with these doctors that want to fill patients and their family with despair. Don’t let one doctor bring you down. I know it’s easy for me to say, I’m not there. But don’t let one doctor take your hope away. Clearly it’s better to stay longer in the hospital and come home better than to stay a short while and come back still poorly, or worse with a hidden problem. The doctors possibly don’t know what’s going on. That’s often a part of the problem. And you end up with wildly varying opinions. But there could be a doctor there who knows what s/he’s talking about and will be upbeat and hopeful and inspirational, who will come and talk to you soon, hopefully the skin doctor, and give you some uplifting news. I truly hope so 💐

I hope you can get through this Jeff. It is all lost to me on paper, some Doc's never explain things clearly. had a few ECG's and Ecocardiogram's, making sure my Heart is made of stronger stuff for the pending transplant, whenever that will be. Another one for me this Tuesday at my Trx Hospital. Good Luck Jeff. XXX

Hi Hacienda that’s good poit about ECG’s had me thinking 🤔 about what my lung doctor said to me ON day one of going lung clinic.

He said I would never get or be offerd transplant I thought he was just being a .. T .. really but I guess it’s my own heart condition ruled that out.

Left anterior hemi block don’t sound very benign when in that context.

They say signal gets round to heart eventually BUT how do you quantify measure eventually UNLESS it’s scientific medical term.

Anyway am going to ask lung doctor when I see him ... never at time as was newbie to being lung diseased.

Good morning JAS,or maybe not so good when you've got around 600 pages of medical notes to wade through and still no general consensus. Its quite scary to be honest.....almost as scary as your picture,lol ! Whichever way you look at it,you have your own medical issues to deal with PLUS all your lovely Dad's medical problems and you never give up. For that alone you deserve a medal! (Wish I could put emojis in!).

Yes,the thing is JAS,that some in the medical profession,just will never admit they've no idea in a diagnosis.....either refer you on "to their learned college" or simply hold fire and ignore what the patients tell them!
