COPD and cold weather or rubbish food

Anyone finding this cold weather is affected their breathing? Or could it be the rubbish food I've been eating over the weekend? Or maybe it's a bit of both

I have trouble in both hot and cold weather, I think it affects all of us in some way. 😊 Bernadette xxx

I have trouble in both hot and cold weather. In summer, (ignoring allergies), when the air pressure is down or going down, and the humidity is high, and it is warm or hot, I have great difficulty breathing.

In winter (ignoring allergies and infections) if the air pressure again is going down or is below about 1000, and I am in a warm room and the humidity is high I get tight chested. A decent air conditioner helps control these in my case, whilst and checking the BBC Weather App. Also, using a fan gently blowing on your face does work. I have a few usb charged battery operated fans of varying power and sizes, and am never without one.

I haven't yet found a comfortable scarf to cover my mouth and nose with when the really cold windy weather comes. I can't wear wool and find the artificial fabrics irritate my face, or I get too hot. I have tried the thin Snoods or Bandeaus that the motorcyclists use can be OK, as long as not tight. I cut one in two, as I felt it was constricting me there was so much of it, and now feels much better, but they don't do these in a stretchy cotton material. I have a cotton scarf which won't do as it is told.

I have a silk balaclava that I used in my motorcycle days and I find it is bearable because it is so light.

Now that is a good idea. I will have to have a look and see if I can get one from somewhere. Thank you.

I always have felt better in the cooler weather, personally. I have never liked nor felt my best in hot, humid weather. That's been all my life!! I also, think certain foods affect everyone differently, no matter what.

Take good care!!

I to have the same thing if I get to hot k have to stand in doorway outside even in the winter which poor hubby suffers as well. He's having to put up with my quirky ways. Cannot wear a heavy cost in the winter the weight affects my breathing. My airways love cold so fan on every night in bed. While hubby is wrapped up with extra blanket. It dosent help wearing a mask in bed. I retain c02 .i will stop talking now take care see you all tomorrow x
