When Bea got to the vet for Ariaβs poor tummy, they were weighing a goat π !
Thought it would be a nice Tuesday picture, then you will probably get a string of mountain β° pictures. I am back in the nursing home, it will be a welcome rest.
You will be pleased to know π that swimming or exercising in the pool has paid of! I got measured! My muscular mass is increasing, especially my chest! No jokes please π, but I thought it was so funny, all those breathing deeply and pulling my diaphragm in I thought.. because I never ran a marathon!
It's not every day one sees a goat being weighed π When my sheep have needed to see a vet, the vet comes to my sheep. I just can't imagine my sheep sitting in the waiting room at a vets.
Great news about your exercising having paid off, you put me to shame. I must try harder. I hope you're settling in well at the nursing home.
Is that you on the weighing machine Fran?that swimming and exercise has certainly paid off as you have appear to have grown another two legs and are well tanned. So you were not the only nanny in town today.
i think we will award you picture of the month for this one and somehow the mountains will be an anti climax,Enjoy your period of rest and hopefully Aria's dodgy tummy will be cured as well.

Loving the photo Fran, hilarious! Howβs Aria doing?
Hope your stay in the home will be ok and good news re muscular mass especially your chest. Who thought I would be saying that to you on a Tuesday morning!! ππ³
Be kind to yourself too and have a good day. Xxxx ππΊπ»ππππ
Aria was poorly, the vet said we must give the cat imodium for 8 days in a row. Bea and I were worried it was going the other way after 3 days but he said not to worry..
Well I wish both of them well for their 4-hour drive today. I am sure once they will be at the cottage rental, in a little Italian mountain village, they will feel better. Bea said one of her friends is a chef!
That looks an amazing clean floor at your vets. Ours is just disgusting. Lol. Just had to say that Fran. Well my friend I hope everything goes well in the nursing home, enjoy the rest, give them the run around, and go home soon- healthier. Jane
Ah... got it! I hope it's a good rest. Hope your thumbs respond well to twiddling, just kidding. Sounds like they will keep you pleasantly rested.
And how happy your feline will be to have you home and you can speak to one another of your varying stays. I'm presuming of course, that you speak fluent cat...
Hi Fran, just got back from an afternoon paddling and picnic-ing at a river near us...a nice gentle afternoon π. Hope you had a nice restful day. Good luck tomorrow...π xxx
I actually thought you where making a joke about Aria being on the large side and was like weighing a goat ha ha then the full message came thru and I seen the bloody goat ...what I want to know is on the floor lay down is a black animal now it is quite likely to be a dog but to just put into perspective that if I didn't know better I would say it was my cat lay there ..his vets said he is the heaviest cat they have weighed since opening which is not a good thing to be told ... he also needs to go the vets today as was sick last night and is not very well... there must be something going round ha ha .. Anyway it soumds like you need a break yourself Fran so i hope you get a good relaxing stay and it's sounds lovely where Bea is heading so let's hope she enjoys the cottage it sounds like it will be very picturesque x How old is she now Fran I seem to have 16 in my head ? Well take care and keep up all your good work it sounds like it's doing you good xx love mel xxxx

Hello Mel πΉ
Well Aria saw the goat π and said to Bea what is that?? Please let me out of here!! π
Some tummy bug π π π or too many mice π and lizards π¦!!
Bea?? She is over 30, I wonβt say too much because she wouldnβt like me to say that her Mum being a senior citizen lol she was no spring chicken π
Oooh i heard the name Aosta and it is a lovely town at the base of a small Ski resort called Pila,i have skied their several times and the area is delightful.sorry for butting in but i almost had an organism hearing the name.
Hi Fran. Back from my Mumβs at last...Iβve hardly been away lately.
Happy to hear that Bea and Aria arrived safely after their four hour trek...we never stop worrying about them, do we??! Wishing them a good time now theyβre there. πβ±πβοΈπΈ
And wishing you the best of luck with your eye op tomorrow. Hope it is super successful and youβre soon seeing at those mountains more clearly again
Mourinho frustrating us all β½οΈ He canβt seem to enjoy the game any more, or get on with his team. Winning matches is likely not to happen AGAIN!! He even seems to have a down on the players who did well in the World Cup....Pogba wants to leave us π±
Iβll say goodnight now, my friend. Sleep well, Fran. Iβll message you as soon as I know you are reading again. π π Lots of love πΈπΌπΈπΌππ¦πΉ Penny xx
Your message was all messed up, sometimes the emojis come out as funny letters on HU.
I hope your Mum is okay. I phone Mum every evening now, she is so depressed with the continuous heat and staying in her air-conditioning. I had asked her to come back with me when I went but she felt too tired to travel. Itβs difficult with our elderly parents.
Yes I was happy when they all got there and she is delighted! They are going to the local market to stock up on food this morning. I see your icons of beaches and parasols! She is in the mountains but there is a pool.
Transport is organised for 12.30 so I have plenty of time to get ready. They didnβt ask me to fast so I donβt know what they will do today. Probably a journey for nothing.
I read Nevilleβs opinion in The Times yesterday saying Mourinho had been left short of centre-backs. I donβt know who Ed Woodward is. Well is he the Ed Woodward? Anyway trouble is brewing behind the scenes. Pogba can be a silly French kid but he gave his best during the World Cup. I donβt think people quite realise how much it takes it out of you to play nearly all year round! They think because they have huge salaries they have to play like Superman.
I think Mourinho should have rested him but you have a lot of injuries.
About my team β½οΈ Ed Woodward is vice-something, second only to our unpopular owners, the Glazers, American financiers. Woodward is an accountant not a REAL supporter, so often gets the allocation of funds for players wrong...much better at sponsorship. According to the media, he and Jo Mo (his current nickname!) are no longer on speaking terms since the latest non-buying disapointments...Jo Mo clearly blaming Woodward in interviews if you know the back story....but I think, as a teacher speaking, he could still be getting more from his superstars....maybe the strife with Woodward mattering more to him???
About Pogba, one of my favourites, his footwork can be exceptional, and itβs good to see a bit of liveliness in an otherwise often quite dreary team performance these days. I like French people!! As long as theyβre lively....!! Ha! π€£ I think youβre right about superman expections though....Iβve got them myself on match days!! π§π»ββοΈπ§π»ββοΈπ§ββοΈ
I will get on with my jobs now....Thursday is babysitting day (not for celebrities though....you should meet my nephew, he βmanagesβ rich people for his job....theyβre far too preoccupied to sort themselves out π) Then Iβve got family visitors twice over the bank holiday weekend and beyond....oh dear! Iβm tired already!!
Good luck with your eyes, again, thinking of you, brave Fran ππ§π»ββοΈππ§π»ββοΈπ Penny xxxxx
ππ sorry..Left eye is blind this evening, I had eye drops and more eye drops and laser and 4 days of anti inflammatory drops and I have to go back next week.
I just ate cottage cheese and swallowed a large paracetamol they gave me!
Nice to hear from you π Hope your summer is going well. I expect you have been busy embroidering! I am waiting for my eye op and maybe new glasses again.
Is it today your operation? I can't remember and I can't find where you said about it (sorry!) I hope it goes well whenever it is, and you make a speedy recovery.
Thanks HHp π I have had the op in March but apparently I have developed a secondary cataract so I donβt know what will happen today. Iβll see when I get there! π
