Yet again hospital cancelled my lung clinic appointment THATs 3 times now .. do people stop having lung issues AND like I pointed out to receptionist that’s not good enough as it’s not once but 3 times.
And like I also said WHAT am going to do about sh### for my nebuliser SHALL I put being ill on hold
Like I would be that lucky.
Is truly disgrace what is happing to our Health service AND our lung health
Tell me about it was meant to have app in feb put off till may then meant to see them in July had to Phone as been cancelled again, got a cancelled appointment for yesterday not that it was any use what so ever in for 5 mins didnt get answers about stuff needed to talk about felt like i was pain in butt i am so fed up !!!!!
I just feel at mo NHS is so stretched in all areas and we are the ones suffering, not good enough we don't want what is wrong with us and need best help we can get to deal with it but we are not
I totally agree with you, the appointment I am going to today has been cancelled twice, it seems in many ways we no longer count. I know the NHS is stretched but at times it's just so annoying. Hope the next appointment you manage to actually get to. 😬 Bernadette xx
Petes had appointments cancelled too JAS and no it’s not good enough. I wish you well with CCQ. Take care xxxx
They cancelled my clinic in Sept. Called my cons secretary and she fitted me in for the following week instead of November which the hospital appts office had sent.
Unbelievable I would write a letter, get the GP involved etc
Oh JAS that's not good,3 cancelled appointments. Very true - are you meant to put your illnesses "on hold "? The NHS is at the point of breaking and yet the government seem to do so very little apart from promises of this and that for sometime in the future.
I am so sorry for you! It's not just annoying it's life threatening for some. As it was for my dear sister-in-law. Her appointment was cancelled 3 times. Despite my brother phoning and telling them her doctor can not help her and she really needs an urgent appointment. It got him no where. She sadly died 6 weeks ago suddenly of heart failure so never made it to the 4th appointment.
That's just beyond awful. I'm so sorry for your loss. The NHS has been stretched to breaking point and now it has broken. All the doctors and clinics and hospitals are too busy, but who with? Everyone's appointments are cancelled or 6 months hence.
Jeff I'm really sorry to know your clinic was cancelled again. It really isn't good enough.
I feel your frustrations it's so unfair to you. But please don't keep having a go at the poor receptionist, it's really not her fault and your probably the tenth person who she has had to tell and has had, a go at her. It's out of her control. I keep getting the same with my endocrinologist appointments, and I do feel for the staff involved too
How frustrating! As you say not really good enough at all. Once you can understand but three in succession is really not acceptable. When have they rescheduled your next appointment for and what excuse did they give? It does seem as if things are getting more and more stretched in the NHS.
I have been seen by the Chest Clinic at Hospital for many months now, with chronic bronchitis and now asthma, (non smoker but initial problems caused by excessive SHS in a neighbour's house). I was really bad in November, December, and saw him. He wanted me to do a spirometry test, I could hardly breathe without coughing and he saw how I was but insisted! He shrugged off any questions and I was given the impression he did not care what was wrong with me. I decided to go private to the next county to avoid seeing him locally. Visited private clinic February and again in March (for severe breathing problems), where he did a D Dimer test which proved I had blood clots in both lungs, been accumulating since November. The Chest Clinic was due to see me in March, however postponed it to July! I told them I would be on holiday that date however they proceeded to send me another appointment with the same date but different time! I wrote and told them again I would be away and did not see the need to come back to UK for the day (from Iceland on a cruise), just for an appointment I had cancelled! However I told the private clinic what had happened and he said if I had not consulted anybody in the meantime I would have been dead by July! I think he was serious. Have a new appointment with NHS in September however am seeing the private clinic this month in 2 weeks. The Chest Clinic has been less than helpful. He put me on a nebuliser, which I had to buy, and did not help and the private clinic said that would have caused me serious heart problems if I had continued! No faith in that department of NHS, perhaps he should retire? I would rather pay to be seen privately than be fobbed off by NHS.
