Beware!

COPD has lots of friends that follow it about.

It's bad enough to deal with it without them spreading doubt.

Paranoia and Depression are two you need to watch.

They'll take you back a step or two and make your life a botch.

It's easy to imagine that there's no one there who cares,

And everything is difficult and life is full of snares.

Depression then will pay a call, your misery's then complete.

It's time to hear that rallying call and get back on your feet.

There's people here who really care, you can be sure of that.

Even if it's only @skischool and his very Scruffy cat.

Nothing can be quite as bad as you at first did think,

Think positive and upbeat, there's that half cup to drink.

And when you're back on course again and feeling really free

Watch out for those two nasty friends of C O P 'n 'D.

(With apologies to skischool and Sruffy)

Love it Don as always

You’re really very good

Even on your bad days

That’s always understood

A smile you bring to us all

A great start to the day

And when any illness comes to call

You’re never far away.

Much appreciated Don and thank you. Xxxxd

Only’ Skischool and Scruffinetta? What can you mean? Are you being an ungrateful toad? Watch it, mate, S&K pudding vanishing into the distance.

Very small and insignificant Kate and 🦓

Do you deserve a X?

Oh you are so clever @don-rhymer! I've tried to compose a half decent rhyming reply but suffice to say,I dont think the moderator's would allow it. I'm certain skischool & Scruffy will love the mention!!!

I've not had a good week, I blame the weather, just no energy at all, and aches and pains. Then I come on here and count my blessings, such brave folk. As a dear chap called Fred used to say - "Keep smilin' ".

in reply to Lyd12

Sorry to hearyou have had a bad week. I think that very hot weather does have that effect. It also seems to emphasis those aches and pains which you have always had but normally manage to ignore.

Don well put I wish I could express myself like that, I am caught in one of the moments and finding it difficult to lift myself. mags

in reply to 1947Mags

It's difficult to control what goes on inside your head, Mags. Sometimes you can feel really bad about nothing in particular. I then try to concentrate my mind on places, people, or things, that have made me happy in the past. I think it was Helen who wrote about having a 'happy place'. It made me realise that I have places like that and I sometime use Google Street View to see them when I can no longer travel that far away. Weird maybe, but it works for me. ;-)
