I went to see the Consultant on Friday. He was really nice and very informative. I’m not sure if I’m going to be discharged or not. I think I might be. I certainly hope so. It’s quite a way to the hospital. I saw my scan and it shows wispy sort of cobwebs at the bottom of my lungs. My lung function is now fine in fact very good although I still feel a bit breathless. He thinks I’m not breathing properly and is going to send me to someone to relearn how to breathe. They will be having a meeting I think he said Thursday where they will discuss my scan and then he will let me know if I need to go back. Apparently I passed out because of a major asthma attack. The markers in my bloods showed I had a very high allergy level. He asked if I had come into contact with anything that could have caused it. He then said it may have been a virus caused it. I keep a diary and I checked back but I haven’t been anywhere different or near anything I think would have caused it. It’s really strange! I’ve never really had bad asthma, only mild. Saying that I did have a bad attack about thirty years ago. I don’t feel things are right even now but it maybe that I’m still getting over the pneumonia. I’m feeling tired and I don’t feel as well off the steroids as on them but I don’t want to take them again as my stomach was so bad. Still bad even now and I stopped them on Friday.
I hope everyone else is doing ok. X

Thanks Sassy. It seems that getting older is bringing these things to me. The re juvinating cream doesn’t work on everything. Sorry! Excuse the joke. I am feeling much better than I did though. I thought I had the flu or something. I never thought it would be pneumonia. I just need to get some energy back now. I hope you’re doing ok. XXXX
Yes they do you're so right. When I'm on them I feel as though I could lift a double decker bus but once they're out of my system I go down like a deflated balloon ! Never mind, keep plodding on and take it easy then one morning you'll wake up and feel great. Sheila xx
I think a lot of us with breathing problems forget how to breathe correctly. It’s a good idea to have someone help you with re-learning. I try to remember to breathe through my diaphragm instead of through my upper chest as I continually get neck pain and I’m so tense that way. Good luck.
I thought I was breathing ok but when I had the lung function test I had a job to breathe after and my heart was going like mad. The nurse that did it thinks it could be heart related. I hope not. Thank you.
Well your heart does have to work harder if you have breathing problems. It has to compensate for poor lungs. Mine was the same, it was racing at 125 beats per minute. But they gave me something to help that. Keep your chin up 😘
Thanks Hayley. Mines ok sat down but as soon as I move it beats fast. It’s still quite a while until the heart echo. It’s September 11th. They can’t be that worried or they wouldn’t leave it so long.
