Inhaler side effects

I recently raised questions about dementia and the use of anticholinergic inhalers in the treatment of asthma and other forms of COPD.

For anyone interested there is copious info on the internet from Wikipedia. Just enter 'anticholinergics'.

Continued use clearly depends on your personal assessment of assistance versus risk, especially in regard to use by the elderly.

Do bear in mind that research is evolving all the time and current thought may change.

Hi Audrey, thanks for that. I use Spiriva Inhaler and worry all the time about dementia, I find I am forgetting things more and sometimes feel like a brain fog. I am 52 and been on Spiriva for around 4 months so don’t think it could be that yet but could make things worse in the future. Will have a good read. Sharon
