Cleaner air

I have a vax air purifier that has really helped my breathing. Sadly it is getting old now and i was toying with getting a new one. Then i saw an advert for a new type of air filter, a round one. It is more expensive so before i buy one i was wondering if anyone on here has one, if yes , how good do you find it. I am scared in case my current one breaks down as before i got it i was in real trouble and struggled every day to breathe.

Advice please if anyone has one.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, you really do have so much good information, maybe you could put it into a booklet or a question and answer pamphlet.

Once again, thanks.

Is there a place on this site where your info could be displayed. So many of us just find it hard to get sensible information from anywhere, it is really frustrating. No doubt you have collected your info over time and from many places , it is so good to have people like yourself on this site.

I bought the most recent Philips model about 6 months ago. It came highly recommended somewhere (might have been Which but can’t remember). You have to shake out the top filter from time to time which catches fluff in the air, but it’s really easy and I haven’t yet had to change the others. I’m very happy with as it gets rid of pollen, dust and all the smells that affect me, especially in the winter!
