I have two , one I bought ages ago for the bedroom and a new one for downstairs .But I don’t know if they help or not …..my cough has improved but I don’t really know why . But I have asthma / COPD .

They use HEPA filters , not the ioniser type .

One monitors the air quality via my I pad , the other has a coloured light which shows the quality .

If you type in air purifier into the search box top right hand corner of this page , then onto BLF you will find previous replies.

I have the Dyson Cool Me air purifier by my bed and use every night then in the living rom I have the tall Dyson Purifier Cool fan. Expensive but I feel they do the job. I certainly do not cough as much with them. Hope this helps

Yes, I have two. Mainly because I have a dog and a cat. I usually can tell the difference if I have forgotten to put them on, particularly in winter when it's too cold to open windows.

We have the Dyson hot n cool purifier and my husband wouldn’t be without it it’s in use every day and through the night and it definitely helps hubby feel better The down side is it was expensive to buy and because it’s used so much we need to buy new filters every twelve months at £55 but he would struggle even more than he does without it so well worth it

I have an air purifier in my bedroom going night and day. I quilt, and I use my bedroom to do the sewing, so I leave the purifier on all the time to help catch the lint. I also, dust off everything in the bedroom more often. I use a solution on a dust rag that catches the dust (lint) not just move it around.

Hi there. I use a water-based air purifier, and yes it certainly does help. Purifier keep out the dust etc which, will aggravate the lungs and start a coughing bout. I only use one and that is in the bedroom. I do hope your dad gets better. All the best to you and yours.
