Now remind me why was I moaning about cold and rain? π
I should be enjoying being dazed by this bright sunshine βοΈ wearing double glasses π to protect my new blue luminous eyes, carrying my shopping π with my fractured back vertebrae since I did that Ronaldoβs backflip in my dreams..
Good news lungs are clear π
So tests and more tests, meds and more meds I am thinking : My life is a sitcom! πΊ
Thatβs how I like to picture it so I can have a laugh at myself and the world and I can unwindπ¬π§ββοΈ
Hope you are keeping well BLF friends, enjoying the heatwave, going to the garden centre, having a fresh cool drink and dreaming of summer days to come.
Good to have our optimistic Fran back πβοΈπ¦π Weβve been quiet without you.
Heat wave? Yesterday certainly felt like it after the cold times weβve had. Welcome to our lovely sun βοΈπβοΈπβοΈ So glad your lungs are now clear, Fran. Onward and upwards π§π»ββοΈπ§π»ββοΈπ
I will be at work making final preparations before some time off starting next week, luckily the air will be coming off the sea so I will be a couple of degrees cooler. Some will be getting 28Β°C today (82Β°F in old money) phew!
Yes nothing like the sea air, lovely! Iβd enjoy that too.
I expected you would be getting things ready as we do before d day. Read yesterday that Merck is getting new immunotherapy out. In the Financial Times: Merck immunotherapy trial boosts hopes for lung cancer survival rates.
Well it seems they are competing with Bristol-Myers for a share of the market so come research and trials..1.8M patients worldwide.
Here Iβm trapped between mountains in the valley, the lake is flat and shiny as an ice rink at 8 am but the view is stunning.
I didnβt make it to our FLAM ( French LAM) annual general meeting in Tours two weeks ago as I was unwell but it seems I got elected as a regional delegate for the βGrand Estβ. Well it was the best news I have had in a while. A wide region indeed but there are so few LAM patients. So I will be on the road soon contacting those isolated ladies on my list trying to organise a get together and see how the association can support them.
Congratulations, Fran π I know youβll do a good job. Lucky Grand Est region. Youβll be in a good position to learn more about LAM yourself if any developments in understanding of your condition, too. Very well done, my friend π. Good luck with the bone scan, hope the news is relatively goodπ€πΈπ€xx
So much to be done, nobody took up that region although Lyons is the centre and has the best consulting team in the country, so as I attend that hospital I hope we can have a good cooperation for new patients etc..
Yes as long as it is the only fracture Iβll cope π
Querida Fran, So Glad your feeling Better and Wow, your Lungs are Clear, that is great news, OH How I would love to say that. But only a Miracle will allow it for me. The Weather here has changed for the Good, Hot Sun Yesterday, Our Council Gardeners Mowed the Lawn instead of Hubby, they did a great job, the smell of fresh grass cuttings I came over with Nostalgia to my childhood.. Read the Papers in the garden under a Parasol, just Needed la Playa, and my mind would be in Spain....Love n Hugs. Abrazo y Besos. XXX
I meant clear from infection but as for the cysts it is a different matter..
I hope you are not presently suffering too much. I am glad you can enjoy the garden π, close your eyes and dream of la playa π con tapas y una cerveza fresquita!!
Estoy Muy Bien Fran, Gracias, Si en me Suenos ...Cerveza Frio y Tapas Mucho. Yo hacen comida Espanole en me Cocina mucho veces, Tortillas Espanole cada Semana, y Paella Mixta, Patatas Bravas Etc......When I was a fit woman and capable I would be in my Kitchen always cooking Spanish Dishes...A Delight for my English In Laws here, many a Spanish night was had. Hubby was a Chef in our own Restaurante. He does most of the Cooking now, The Joys of having a young Hubby. XXXX Love n Hugs Abrazo y Besos xxxx
I remember when I lived in Castelldefels and worked in El Prat de Llobregat I used to love my evenings and my weekends although I worked hard and slept little π
I used to walk to el paseo maritimo have some pulpo gallego or gambas al ajillo y pan con tomate and looked at the sea.
I miss those days too. You canβt have it all. Iβve loved working in London and life buzzing around me and now Iβm watching the Alps with snow on the peaks and I think I am so grateful despite lifeβs ups and downs that I have been teaching all those years in lovely places. Iβm so happy to see Bea speaking 4 languages, and thinking the world is her oyster.
We donβt need much Querida, a lot of hope, a little sunshine and healing, and the rest is not in our hands.
Lovely picture. My daughter did her pattersier training in Zurich this reminds me of it. Lovely sunshine on the east coast but as the sea is only half a mile away the wind is really cool. Sheltered spot will make for a good day. Enjoy.
Wow Fran that is hot and must say your eyes sound very funky with the blue luminous or is that an added extra xxxwhen you say your lungs are clear do u mean no infection and if yes has your scan showed any changes compared to a past scan with regards lam βΊ..I was beginning to wonder if u were ok as I posted the other day and you never replied so knew u where otherwise engaged xxx hope your well my friend ππππ

My dear Mel
Yes I have regained a look I didnβt know I had ππ I havenβt been able to see my eyes since the age of 7 except through glasses!!
Yes clear of that lousy infection after 15 days antibiotics and steroids, the usual but maybe because it was after the ops it affected me more who knows. Talking about fatigue..Bea got worried so I pulled myself together.
Otherwise engaged going to medical appointments π still managed to look at shops on the way so I must be getting betterπ
Sizzling 27 deg outside the L'Enoteka bar and restaurant my happy friend, did you pop in for a refreshing beverage or is crossing the road to dangerous with your white stick in Rolle.?
Good news about your infection free results and also Psg's 3-1 win last night, soon you will be to busy on your delegate travels to watch football so your potential audience will have to accept out of footie season support and guidance, hopefully you will find your new post rewarding and your determination to help other Lam sufferers is to be applauded......
love Ski's and Scruffs basking in rare sunshine oop north. xx
Yes it was a good match although the video assistance tried to spoil it for me π we made it before extra time!!π
Well itβs not going to be a full-time job, I couldnβt cope with that anymore.
Just volunteering you know in my own time, although we have a monthly meeting in Paris at the rare disease alliance, the rest will be help and support for now then we will see where it leads, I have 10 patients who have agreed to meet with me so far but all over the eastern part of France, some in places I have never heard of! I thought that was puzzling, genetics works in strange ways, still it will be a voyage of discovery π
Glad you are enjoying the good weather. Noted Burnley-Chelsea for this evening hope I manage to stay awake!! π
Hello Fran wow it's hot where you are! It makes a lovely but extreme change to the weather of late..and I get you look like a superheroe with those Ice Blue eyes and double sunniesππ.
Good to hear you had good results from recent tests...and congratulations on your regional delegate position! Very well done.
I am like 2greys...preparing for future treatments so have collected mountains of shopping and am clearing housework ready for the final poisoning tomorrow...here's hoping it's the last π.
As you said...our lives are a sitcom..so let's keep watching and laugh at the funny bitsπ
So glad you are having your last dose tomorrowπ
What a journey you have accomplished, how brave you have been through it all, taking care of your family at the same time, you are an example to us all Anne πΉ
I wish you the easiest poisoning of the lot and the best ever recoveryπ§ββοΈ
Yes then weβll start writing that new script and make wonders!!!
Hi i bet the AlpsποΈπ n lake are looking fab! Glad things are a little better for you. Everyone around here looks so much happier now the Sun is shining. βοΈI've done my Thursday Swim,π n am going to sit on the Sandunes ποΈβ³ n watch the Waves πfor a while. Have a great day. ππ»πΉβοΈ
I was going to say. Ooh i love that show! Get so envious though n want a house everywhere. Hope your day went well. As mine did. I even have a bit of a tan colour! ππ»π» unusual for me as i normally have that Northern skin colour. Milk white. π
Hi Fran, yes we had almost forgotten what sunshine was like! A sitcom hey? Yes as someone once said, all of life is but a stage and we are mearly actors upon it!π A little garden catch up for me too todayπ Enjoy...
Ha Ha Fran, Love the "Sit Com" we have become...maybe one day in years to come we will all receive a " Bafta" !! But, this is Real isn't it. have a Woderful Weekend, After my Rehab today I shall be sitting in my Garden in the Glorious Sunshine....con un Vaso de Vino..hasta Luego Carino. XXXXX
Glad to see you and your photos are back. Iβve missed them. Itβs good news about your lungs. Iβm loving the sunny weather - I even did a bit of gardening yesterday, bit being the operative word. I have back problems so can only do a little at a time, but itβs looking better already.
This weather is gentle to our backs and bones. I have to get a little stool for my chores now because I tend to reach for things without thinking and feel it straight away π
Garden is blooming Iβm keeping my fingers crossed as I am watching the weather map!!β
Itβs a lovely sunny morning here. Iβm off to have something done with my hair soon and then later this morning weβre off to the Cotswolds- our eldest son is getting married. I bought my βoutfitβ before we thought the weather was going to be cold, so Iβm now thinking I need to have a rethink! Have a good weekend.
Thank you Joyce πΈ Glad you enjoyed your day out. My cousin arrived yesterday. Last time she came was for Dadβs funeral in December so a different trip altogether..a very supportive lady.
She was amazed at the sun, flowers, and people walking bare legs in the High Street!!
Campers are back on the lakeside and apprentice footballers are kicking the ball at the park.
So we ate in a little Italian place and had a good catchup.
Glad you had a nice day with your cousin and bet you spent some time talking of happy times with your dad. The weather is still ok here at the moment so I hope to get out with one of my daughters and my 10year old granddaughter today. Got a blue badge yesterday so will make it easier Parking and getting in out of it with my frame and oxygen. Hope you are still improving every day.πΌπΈπ₯
Thank you π Yes sunshine helps to lift our moods..the other things I am dealing with one day at a time..Started the Crestor 5mg statins yesterday, no reaction whatsoever so that was a mark on my score board!! π it is for 3 months then I will take a higher dosage.
