Hi all,

I hope i catch you all enjoying the mild evening air as i am.

After being in hospital since sunday afternoon and having more tests than ever and 23 bloods being taken i am back in the sanctuary I call home!

And heres the really exciting news..................as of tomorrow afternoon i am officially on the transplant list for bi-lateral lung transplantation(both lungs).

My condition has progressed even further since the last time I was tested, CT/ lung function etc and all of my tests over the last few days have all indicated that I have no heart damage and my kidneys are functioning well.

Now I know a transplant is not a cure but a treatment that will change my life in terms of what i can and cant do , what i can and cant eat but my quality of life will be improved and my life span will increase to allow my wife and I to share some unforgettable times with each other.

Thats all for now im off to sleep in my own comfy bed!

Breathe easy and stay safe

Tony x

There's nothing like your very own bed, and especially not a hospital one :)

Glad to hear you are home.

Fantastic news for you wheezy, I am genuinely happy for you. Whilst it is a scary time the positives far outweigh the negatives and that is what my dad hopes for too........much more time to be with mum and his family. enjoy being home again!

Excellent news! I hope your wait isn't too long. I imagine the day you can breath without the use of a nose hose and concentrator will be wonderful.

Best wishes :-)
