we are so fortunate when the weather is fine to be able to enjoy so many hours of daylight made all the better the further north we are
although a Celt sadly I will not be over the border this year to be enjoying the hours of daylight and glorious sunshine but remember fondly some of the years my wife & I have spent there with many family members
Midsummer's Day, or the Summer Solstice that I prefer calling it was being celebrated at just after 5 o'clock this morning - some of the pictures that the BBC have on line showing those celebrants enjoying the Day at both Stonehenge and Avebury really are fun to view
I prefer celebrating at Avebury myself: the pub close by and the easier access make it all the more enjoyable. I have some lovely memories of one year in particular, enjoying the day at Avebury with both my mother and granddaughter along with my brother who was a great friend of the Druids
not quite healthy enough to be travelling this year I do have such glorious memories to dwell on
even though this day marks that point in time when our light evenings start to draw back it is still a special moment for us all, all of you do enjoy what you can of this Summer Solstice
Love & Peace
