Excess saliva

Two weeks ago I started with flu,around day 9 I started getting excess saliva, its driving me mad ,mouth filling up and needing to swallow constantly..anyone else experience this with flu ?

I have sarcoid pulmonary fibrosis treated with steroids and mycophenalate.

I have a cough with mucus ,usually on going to sleep and waking.

Last week though I got what you describe. It seems to come from my nasal passages.my mouth and throatseem awash to the point of choking. I seem to cough up constantly -huge quantities and it filled up again almost immediately.

I have found taking vitamin c with zinc 1000gm tablets in water. ( most supermarkets)I find it stops production for a few hours. I think I take about 6 tablets a day . Hopefully the virus will go soon. Some people condemn taking big doses of vit c. But you could see if one dose helps.
