The Shower.

Getting in the bath was hard

I'll tell you that for nowt.

Once I'd got me in there,

I couldn't then get out!

So I had a shower fitted

To wash myself instead.

I shower in the morning

Once I get out of bed.

It isn't all that easy

I've got wobbly knees,

That make me quite unsteady

As anyone passing sees. (Must get that blind fixed.)

The other thing that's difficult

And is adding to my woes.

I can't bend down so easily

To wash between my toes.

It's also very difficult

When I drop the soap

Chasing round in that small space

Really is no joke.

I've heard about a bed bath,

Now that sounds really nice,

There's an advert in the phone box,

I think I'll ring them for a price.

Noooo! Don’t do that Don! Stick with the shower and get a pole with a sponge fixed on the end to wash between your toes.

Do get that blind fixed though. 😘❤️👍xxxx

Doing catch up. Trying to calm down from your last ode, now splitting my sides laughing, Oh how I understand, I am lucky I have a wet Room with a chair, a long Tickling stick to reach the feet...All good till the dam Oxygen Tubing wraps around my Ankles amongst all the soap suds. Ha Ha what a Sight.

Hope you've got some hand rails, Don. They help for foot washing. I hang on and lift my foot while washing with the other. Brilliant ode, as always! Stay out of that phone box!!! xx Moy
