Day out!

Lovely day yesterday😊..My daughter picked me up from the nursing home as my brother was over.

We went to this inn in the middle of the country side. Roast chicken was good.

Somehow I started coughing a lot, I bet pollen was high but the nurse said to me last night if I didn’t improve they would have to ask the surgeon if I could have my cataract op on Tuesday, that’s all I need..I increased my steroids from 10mg to 20mg and my inhalers..keep your fingers crossed 🤞

Anyway as we walked up the inn, kids were playing with a tennis 🎾 and one hit my brother right in the back of the head! Bea went in, asked where their parents were, had a good moan so all ended well with a bump and a glass of wine on the house.

And I was so pleased to see Aria when we got home, we had big cuddles and purrs. She must be wondering why I left again. Now I am counting the days till I can see and go home..

Had to get up earlier as breakfast was more like 6.30 then 7.30 😃, thought I would share this souvenir photo with you.

Have a nice Sunday xx

Hi my LAM sis 💕

Thank you for your kind words ☺️

It was in a village called Dully.

Well I am going to huff and puff for a couple of days..they did give me oxygen there last time so it should do the trick 🤞

Checking back on my pred history that I have to keep up with, you know I have had one of those episodes every month! It must be LAM I suppose..at least it doesn’t come to anything worse, because of the steroids I think.

I got a letter for my next hospital appointment on December 3rd! No hurry hey..

Also got a letter from the specialist asking me how I got on with the CPAP for apnea! I never got round to that! Between Dad, the eyes..so one more item on my to do list! 😃

It is difficult to concentrate too long with those one eye 👁 glasses 😃 but I missed you all too.

Keep well my LAM sis💖

Fran xx

Ha ha one eyes glasses ..you may of started a new craze ....yeah my next appointment at Nottingham is june but my respiratory is sept ha ha...must say every pic u send is always so quaint and picturesque...the clocks went forward so just realized this as I'm sat looking on my phone and also my watch both different times ..got a post last night telling us to lock our community in when posting as some people haven't been doing so...I haven't a clue how to do that think is cos some woman come on and posted about her lady parts and was quite detailed the post so a few of us replied really to say your better going to the lymphoedema community then the message came saying be careful who you reply to etc I thought I had done something wrong xxx I find it so hard to get used to this site as I'm not used to anything like this xxx it was typewriters for God's sake when I was at scool ha ha xxxapparently there should always be a lock at side of our posts or something oh I don't know alot has happened since last night like not sleeping well once again 🙃😩

in reply to

😃I mean they are my regular glasses but one lens is blank! Weirddd 🙄😳

I am glad yours is earlier 💕not that we enjoy them but at least you feel cared for.

I don’t know either 😃I checked MrsMummy’s explanations but couldn’t see a thing..Anyway what is private nowadays, I wonder when I get all those ads about age creams and pension funds lol

Yes I saw that! Imagine being posted everywhere..

Yes « Fall back Spring forward » taught me an American lady so I know which way it goes at least!!

Get your sleep sorted out LAM Sis..at that next appointment at least.

Love 💖

Gosh, I read that post and thought, poor woman!!!! But what’s this got to do with lungs?? Didn’t suspect foul play. Yes, I’m going to be sure I lock my posts now. It’s easy, I find, just don’t tick the box for ‘everyone’ by the send button. Thanks for waking me up, kemety, we’re so trusting on this site!! 🌸

I'm still not sure what is exactly wrong with replying back to that post ... are they saying it was a hoax post as it was quite open shall I say or that we should not answer other communities as like I said I can barely manage to reply or comment to my friends in our community ha ha oohh modern technology kills me xxx

Well if the post is on here, I'll reply! But maybe if an unfamiliar name, might check first if locked. But don't want to spoil our site with all this suspicion 😨😵😬 Will lock my few posts but otherwise carry on as usual 💚

Hello Fran 💙🌹💙

So good to hear you in good spirits. I bet it was a real treat to get out, and home for a while too, on such a lovely day ☀️

You mentioned to kemety that you had a breathing episode each month....just a little thought but same was happening to me, and I realised that I needed to stop my seretide inhaler while 8 puffs still to go, according to the dial thingie. This was after extra effort on shaking before use, and speaking to GP, who said That can’t be right! However, I now stop at 8 on the dial and no further probs. If I forget, I’m reminded by lung problems, every time. I know you have different lung problems to me, and probably a different inhaler, but just thought I’d mention 😵🤐

Enjoy your day, sunny here too, 🌤, your last Sunday in the nursing home??! You’re on the home straight now 🚴‍♀️🏇🏊‍♀️🤸‍♂️

Love 💝 Penny xx

in reply toYatzy

Thanks Penny 💕

Oh I have no dial but I have an inhaler App countdown..So do they think we need to stop at 112?? Glad you told me.

Yes I have 4 different ones I have to pump them 4 times on starting day then you tell me another 8 puffs that’s 12 puffs less out of an 120 inhaler..for the Ventolin it is 200 so that’s ok.

That means the chemist must give me more on my prescription..Really useful info thank you so much Penny 😊 😊

Unfortunately I have new ones so it is just a flare-up..or more gastric acid..I am back on the Riopan gel, I am already better than yesterday.

Now when I have a flare-up I have to quadruple the dosage. 2greys mentioned the study and it does help. So you imagine how much I consume.. I think I should move close to the chemist’s honestly I spend my time there 😃😃

I need a lot of herbal teas and honey 🍯 lost my soprano voice 😃

Yes last Sunday!!!! 🤞🤞🤞

Nice of you to think about it

Have a nice rest today. Hope your back is better.

Lots of love 💗

It's beautiful isnt it ..

in reply to

You must come and visit my LAM Sis 💕the alpine air would do you good. Problem is the travelling, I’m trying to pluck courage to go to England this summer it would mean 3 train journeys, Geneva-Paris, the Eurostar to London and London to Lancaster to see my 92-year-old aunt and my cousins..

We’ll see!

Lots of love xx

Fran

in reply to

That sounds lovely I have always wanted to visit there as my friend used to au pair over there but would it not be easier for you to fly or am I missing an obvious reason whilst you cant fly xxxx

I never get one xx

in reply to

You never get a pneumo? that’s good news..you can always get a chest xray before you fly to be sure but it is too much liability if something happens insurance or not, the specialist warned me off so that’s that. Xx

Ha ha no I never meant I never get a pneumo ha god I couldn't ever safely say such a comment as it would be my luck to then get 1 🙃.. No I'm trying to learn my way round the site and will be honest it's not easy... I'm on my phone as don't need a computer my phone does everything it's my new best friend ...but I'm sending skischool a message I wasn't aware of until he asked me what the eck I was on about and then you thought I was on about a pneumo ha ha I'm useless with all this modern technology and I'm still trying to find out the place stone UK is mentioning regarging locking posts in etc the things he mentioning are not on my screen and it's driving me crazy ha ha

in reply to

I didn’t find anything about locked posts anywhere either..it doesn’t matter..

As I said we are so far data chased nowadays, the NHS already knows everything about me and I have nothing to hide really.

I think that if people want to know about how lung diseases can affect us, that’s fine. Hope they do something very useful with it.

Have a good evening my LAM sis 💕

To lock a post:

When you write a post there are several choices to make. It asks if you want to add an image. It asks if you want to add a topic and it asks if you want to limit where it can be seen. All before you post. Try reading the How To post. I hope this helps. healthunlocked.com/blf/post......

Another lovely photo. It must have been wonderful to get out of the nursing home, even if only for a short time. I hope you are ok to have your second eye done on Tuesday. My husband now has the date for his second op - the 30th May. He’s going to get a new lens for his new good eye so that he can drive again, otherwise it means we won’t be able to go away in our caravan until the end of July.

Thinking positively, good luck for Tuesday.

in reply tohelenlw7

Thank you Helen 🌸 Good news for your husband, at least he has a solution and a date.

Hope the surgeon can sort out the stain on the right eye but he seems ready to go ahead with the left eye op today so I hope I will see something and get a prescription for glasses soon..

Trying to thinking positively too 😊
