Lung Function Test

I had a lung function test done recently. I was told the results would be sent to me within two weeks but have still to receive them. Is it normal to receive the results this way and does it always take this long?

Hi

The results would normally go to your GP, or department which made the referral. Two weeks is about right.

One could ring the surgery to see if the results have arrived then see the Dr to have them explained and to see what can be done if necessary

I always request and get a print out of the results at the time of doing them. You should be entitled - they are your results after all :)

I have had some hospitals refuse to give me the results. Hospital policy I was told. 😖 I got so annoyed last time that happened O2Trees . Some hospitals are fine with it some are not. 😌

Defo true - shouldn't be, but it is. Ive just never experienced it and I approach it not as a question but a direct request with the assumption I'll get yes as the answer :D Sorry you've had that happen Cas. :(

It's fine. This is a good reminder. I was going to ask my doctor about it. 😊
