Shortness of breath better, but chest discomfort that feels like back pain

Hi guys, so recently I was having shortness of breath and chest pain for a while now. I eventually went to gp etc, got chest X-rays, blood tests, urine test etc (except for echocardiogram) and everything was fine.

All docs said it was anxiety, so I accepted it. My breathing then got better, but I still have this weird chest discomfort, on and off, mainly when I move around, or bend forward and backwards, occasionally when I breathe and twist and turn in but this seems to be gone kind of feels like muscle or strain pain, and god and comes. It’s mainly on left side, but is rarely on right. Feels like I broke my back or something, and feel like it’s right at the back. What is this???

I’m worried if it’s a heart issue, but I haven’t been having anything more then just this, I’m sick of checking up cause they will probably say it’s nothing again.

I lost 11 kg recently, and am continuing. I also recently went to my doctors to mention my high blood pressure issue, and it seems to be lower when I go to docs so they are like “it’s fine” but it seems higher at home so I was just wondering if I had hypertension or something at my age 17 . And I’m wondering just randomly, do people with hypertension or high blood pressure never have coffee? I’m just worried all the time, and if I do I can’t live without coffee no way!

Anyways help would be appreciated guys, your feedbacks really make me feel better and I need that

Thanks!

I've had hypertension all my life and have drunk coffee all my life, although I have gone on to decaf. Just don't drink too much! You sound much too anxious for a 17 year old, have you thought of counselling and cognitive behavioural therapy?

Hi there Carnival, that’s good to know we can drink coffee, I have decreased my amount extremely. I have thought about counselling etc, and I might take into consideration, but no matter what idk how they are going to change my behaviours, as Whenever I feel a single bit of pain or discomfort, I worry too much.

You don’t know whether it will help or not unless you try it. If you don’t do something about your anxiety you will have no life at all. I do hope you get the help you need Hugs xxx
