Hi Everyone,

I had my Assessment for PR, last Thursday. All went well. I start my classes again Monday and Friday every week for 6 weeks, I have managed to co-ordinate them with my Breathe Easy Exercise Class and The Gym...Even if I don't get my Lung Transplant, I should be the fittest Person on the waiting list..Ha Ha , I am also the owner of a Pedometer, Works well when I'm walking or exercising and gives me the inspiration to do better the next day...Wishing you all well and have a Great Sunday. xxx Carolina. xxx

Carolina,it sounds like you should be taking the class not participating.do you think your mentors will be able to keep up with you?you will indeed be the fittest person on the list.in fact i would be careful they don't get confused and give your lungs to somebody else lol.Enjoy your course my dear....................skis and a step free cat xx

Thanks everyone for your replies. Hola Skis y Scruffy .

I wrote a lovely Post...pressed wrong key and it's gone ??

Yes, I am very grateful that the NHS do have these PR Sessions, this will be my 4th. I hope I get fitter. Years ago when I was Younger & fitter, Lived in a sunny climate, I would go running most mornings and now My grandchildren all do the same along with their Mum's. So at Least my Enthusiasm/Legacy has rubbed off on the right people. My daughter in Law has done the London marathon, and has now enrolled for 2018... I always say that if I get Nice New Lungs then I will want to do maybe a half marathon, For BLF Sports Events....This could be part of my Training !!! Always Stay Positive no matter how Poorly you Are. XXXX

Hi Carolina.. just wondered how long you been on waiting list and is it a double lung in the UK?? I'm asking cos I am awaiting my 3 day assssment for double lung transplant and at present am not able to walk most places am on oxygen 24/7 and have had to stop the PR course I have been attending due to several weeks chest infection so gonna start a fresh new course after Xmas to give me time to get bit better so I won't miss any of the next course .im 43 and its been a bad few years as was as fit as the next person and now its a hard fight everyday xxx

Hi kemety,

Yes, A Double Lung. Been on the List 16 months. I have had COPD Diagnosed 2013, previously had Bronchil problems, I know it must be a Good 8 Years in Total. I was in for my Assessment 4 days, went on the List after another 3 months after my assessment.. On Oxygen minimum 16 Hours, But, I can be on it more some days and Less other days, I do feel the exercises do help an awful lot and a strong mental approach to this Disease.. Today I have been on my Stationary Bike in my hall Way for 10 mins and 10 mins of gentle Body exercise and stretch's. At This Moment, I feel strong enough to take on a Huge Operation both Physically and mentally...But with this Dam Disease you never know when it can attack you...I have with me always when I'm out, a Mask, especially in GP's /hospital waiting rooms, worse place to pick up Germs, and we are so prone to them. So for us COPD/Lung Peeps, we have to be prepared before we set out of our Homes....Good Luck with your new PR Course, you know you will benefit from it , I do wish you hear soon about your assessment, Just Stay Positive my Dear....Love n Hugs xxxxCarolinaXXX
