Throat wheezing!

I keep having wheezing in my throat. It happens at unpredictable times. I don't have shortness of breath, or chest pain, just throat wheezing. I don't know if allergy or what, but antihistamine helps stop it. I used to get just at night sleeping in my bed, but now get other times. If it continues, I will check with doctor. Any ideas?

Just a suggestion. Try a lozenge named Vocalzone. You can purchase in most chemists. I get catarrh clinging around my vocal chords and use them when singing in my local choir. The latter I commend to all. Good for breathing, good for fun. Vocalzone were recommended by a retired opera singer. Works for me.

i had the same problem - wheezing in my throat. Since I stared taking a new inhaler,Anoro, it seems to have stopped. Prior to this, I found that a cough cleared it for a little while, or the nasal drops...Beconase.

I wonder, if it seems to come from your lungs, if you have mucus on your lungs which needs to be coughed up. If you think that is the case you could look up Active Cycle of Breathing Technique on Youtube or Google which helps to loosen the mucus. There are lots of explanations. I have a lot of mucus on my lungs which I need to cough up every night before lying down, if I don't do it I wheeze and the noise keeps me awake. Might be an idea to get your doctor to listen to your chest first though to see if you have mucus on your lungs.

I wonder if it comes from the sinuses, - the mucus trickles down into the throat and sometimes I find it makes my throat husky, I cough a lot and sometimes my throat wheezes. I sometimes wonder if it could come from the lungs. I sometimes inhale with eucolyptus and teatree oil, which helps loosen. Hope this helps.
