Had my first call last night, they told me I would be the back up for a heart lung transplant, if the heart was not acceptable I would get the lungs. So stressful for not only me but my family as it turned out not to be my time.
Not sure how I feel today but can say wythenshawe hospital made the whole experience so positive, the staff were amazing so caring.
Now I'm home and sending love to the recipient of the organs and the family of the doner x
This topic always brings on mixed feelings as joy for someone receiving organs is always tempered with sadness that someone has died. Maybe next time will be your time.

How dissapointing for you it must be quite a mixed bag of imotions . Hope it happens soon for you. I am also visiting Wythenshaw Lung department at present being screened for lung valves, good to hear the staff looked after you well. Good Luck X
Waiting my call for Lungs at QE Birmingham. How disappointing for you Southy, I have friends who have had a few calls, and some who get the call and all systems go. I would love to be "All Systems Go", it would be like winning the lottery. You will get the Right Call , we just have to be patient, and carry on being Positive.
