After all my difficulties with getting an oxygen assessment I finally got an appointment for 7 th September, which was postponed to 14th because the nurse was on a course, then I had to postpone it because I am in the middle of an exacerbation, and then this morning I had a phone call from the surgery booking a phone consultation for Monday morning with a doctor I have never heard of, about my oxygen assessment. What is going on now, I ask myself?

I have had some of the best results ever from telephone appointments with Drs. I don't know and have never met! Hope you have the same.

Just as well it`s a phone consultation Carnival567 . My assessment was deferred numerous times because I`d had steroids in the previous six weeks. Good luck with getting oxygen it`s an absolute Godsend. Sheila x

Thank you. As you may know I have been having difficulties getting this assessment because of living in England, having a Welsh GP and an English hospital. Also I have just discovered that the doctor I am speaking to on Monday is possibly a new GP I have never met. However I have had a letter from my consultant which seems to imply that I may have the assessment in Bristol or possibly Newport where the nurse comes from. No doubt all will be made clear, at least I hope so. The consultant, who was different from the one who diagnosed me seemed surprised that I am not already on oxygen. I would really like to be a bit more active if possible.xx
