No, I find it hard to decided at times but I don't let it become a problem. I toss a coin if needs be.
I am sure Don you will know from instinct of what and when to what you have to do but never leave it to chance, as my doctor say\s it is there in the background take the antibiotics and see me if no improvement.
No degree needed Don, take them when you feel you are not getting better. Wishing you well.

Yes a hard decision sometimes.. well you know your own body and how you feel..measuring your peakflow or pulsoxymeter would help you decide..In doubt go to the GP. Do take care.
I totally agree with you , Don. Until my daily antibiotic was changed about a months ago I always coughed up stuff of one shade of green or another! At the beginning of a chest infection I don't feel any worse than I do on a normal day! When I was reading your poem I realised that I actually feel ok! I have been taking doxycycline daily for about three years. It reduced the number of infections. In July I asked my consultant if this was the best I was going to be, he changed the doxy to azithromycin, and breathing wise I feel good. Haven't coughed any up for about a week!
Hi Helen,Azithromycin has kept me totally free of chest infections for well over a Year, The Best Antibiotic ever, 3 times a week, this along with other good meds have kept me on the right track for my Double Lung Transplant as soon as I get the Call...Keep Breathing well and stay Positive. xxx
Great Little Ditty Don, Exactly how I felt in July...I did in the end, but felt NO Benefit on that Occasion, Off to see my Lung Consultant Today, 4 monthly Appt. I feel more Knowledgeable now since being on this Forum and I can Ask her Questions with Confidence. Thanks to everyone. XXX
