I have a runny nose due to allergies.I am afraid that might clog up my tubing into my nose. I have had COPD since 2014.before that asthma n emphysema. Will my runny nose affect my breathing tubes ?

Runny nose
I have not encountered that problem but I don't often have a runny nose, I think it will be alright , you can change your cannula as often as you like or even use a mask. Hope your nose gets better soon, huff xx
Yes I take the top off of a stop n clean out the tubing . I found a omfortable tubing much so than any other cause it is narrow n doesn't stick to skin like the shorter wider ones. I have Apria for o2 the number of the tubing is 1820. It depends on who u speak to because 1 person said they don't carry it. Called next night n yes they have them .said send me 10 n they were the correct ones.. Knowledge is power . and if u really have a bad runny nose during the night do use a mask? Good luck
I have the same problem and yes it does clog the tubes sometimes. Just have to make sure that you change them more frequently. If you phone your oxygen provider and explain the problem, they will send you some spare canulas. I have tried several nose sprays to try to cure this problem but to no avail.
