Keeping Oxygen tube in your nose

Hi I'm new here my mum has fibrosis and is on oxygen 24/7 but she is struggling to keep the nose tube in place especially on a night and wondered if anyone has any tips please many thanks Anne

The oxygen company will have more than one type of cannula and so I would start by explaining the problem and asking to try alternatives.

U can buy silk tape at the pharmacy a just tape it to her checked at night and the silk tape doesn't irritate skin, or u can ask it oxygen supplies company and they will help you

If you still have problems contact your respiratory nurse and she can negotiate for you.

I put the circle of tubing over my head, then put the nose prongs in my nose and then tighten the hose at the back quite tightly. It never falls of my nose, and also stays in place in bed.
