Desloratadine v Levocetirizine for hayfever

My GP changed me from Desloratadine to Levo last year, and not sure it is a change for the better.

Anyone else done this change and noticed deterioration?

My hubby used to have prescribed Desloratidine which worked fine for 3 years, then seemed ineffective so now on Certirizine. I guess what suits one person may be different to another person.

Trial and error I guess.

I used to be on Desloratadine (Neoclarityn) for over 8 years as it had less problems with other drugs and as it is non-sedating anti-histamine did not affect me while driving. The GP surgery tried swapping me to Loratadine (Clarityn) as it was the cheaper of the 2, but I had to swap back because of one of the other medicines I was taking with it at the time.

I was taken off it all together about 5 years ago, I get the sniffles sometimes during the hay fever season but nothing as bad as I used to be.
