Havent worn one for years. Even so, it feels all the time like Im wearing a much too tight one :(

I buy the ones that stretch to fit your shape. They come in s m and l and are the most comfy bras I have ever worn. You can buy them in department stores.

I know someone who swears by these shaped, seamless bra tops, & they're incredibly cheap tuclothing.sainsburys.co.uk...

I'm going to start a burn the bra campaign back to my hippy youth lol x

I'll support that!! ;-)

I'd think I would frighten everyone though if I went out without one ....it's ok at home as long as no one knocks at the door.

My neighbour is the same, so it's one way of getting rid of cold callers

Knock knock!

Not keen on 'new' bra's but I like my old comfy ones - bit like shoes really - they need breaking in, not ready to shed mine just yet though.

lol I spent 12 years in the military and it was very common in the cold freezing winters in Germany to wear tights under our combat uniforms when on exercise. Excellent insulation at -20. however I wore stockings so much easier during a call of nature...lol

in reply toBadbessie

Nothing wrong with a man in stockings lol 😀

I think at time we develop a black sense of humour just to protect ourselves. Found Moseley on the map to the south of Leicester where I am from the North West where we all call each other Me Duck...lol

in reply toBadbessie

Humour is a must in the job duck lol if you didn't have it we would go mad at some stuff...what's your condition and when were you diagnosed...I'm a slight virgin at this lark ..im 3 months copd stage 3 poking around doing my own exercise tai chi walking 5 k a day start PR in may ...and I knew I had it but choose to keep smoking but now fagless as well 3 months in xx

Stage 2 moderate by Spirometry. Severe by CT scan on follow up. Diagnosed Christmas Day after being admitted for bilateral pneumonia and septicemia. CRP 285, Wcc 35. I can remember listening to the nurses calling out my blood pressure pulse etc and thinking I could die here! 60/30 is not good..lol not smoked since except for e cigs. So still like you a bit of a virgin with COPD. On waiting list for Pulmonary rehabilitation but I am not waiting round. Worked a little bit in research whilst in renal and every bit of research I have been reading makes me believe that exercise and more exercise is the only way to stop the slide! You must have given up around the same time.

in reply toBadbessie

Tough time for you I just called my GP and asked for the lung function test. And there it was very good practice nurse but as like you pushing my channel for further information about it really exercise seems the way forward and inhalers xx

lynnemasters in reply to

Sorry about your job but I hope you enjoy doing your diploma. No I gave up working 10 yrs ago as it was making me so ill.I have asthma as well as copd which doesn't help. I was a home carer for the elderly and terminally ill and after suffering with Bronchitis 3 times in the space of 4 months it was too much especially with having 4 children at home as well. xx

in reply tolynnemasters

Thank you I can't wait to get going on it ... 4 kids my how old are they that's a lot of work in itself..I have 2 but there 33 n 28 both married so just me and hubby he's retired took it early...I don't really care about the job anymore they can have it i was a scrub nurse in theatres for 22 years but the last 10 iv lost the love and passion for it xxx

lynnemasters profile image
lynnemasters in reply to

They are all adults now 24 22 19 18 IThe 19 yr old is at Uni and the youngest is due to go to Uni in September so less work thankfully lol but they do help me out alot. Just simple things like bringing the washing down its carrying things I struggle with makes my breathing worse. Plus Im still getting muscle spasms from surgery last year which is so annoying. I know what you mean I lost the passion when my bosses didn't care if I was ill aslong as the job was done. xx

in reply tolynnemasters

Wow handful right enough lol least there good to you and helpful it must make you proud of them... I just want to do something worthwhile and feel if I get through the courses it's not a strenuous job to be fair ...iv never been unemployed and have been off sick since December last year but I'm really enjoying my time as it's mine to do what I want ...I've always been running after others as I'm sure you have as well xxx I'm on Facebook if your on the there my names Angie Cutler and my profile pics of me and my hubby xxx

lynnemasters profile image
lynnemasters in reply to

I am very proud of them even if they constantly stress me out worrying about them lol. I enjoyed it to start with but as the years have gone on and the children don't need me as much I have got really bored especially with my hubby still working. I will log in to my facebook now xx

I was the same went out and bought a bigger size in the body shaped vest top and was really pleased no more tight squeeze around my chest. But also took an old bra and cut of the hooks and eyes on the back and added them to another bra to give me extra width. Worked a charm. 😄

Jancon profile image
Jancon in reply toLinda8p

You can actually buy bra extensions. Got mine from Amazon which I use when

I go out so that I feel better about myself. they are quite cheap.

I will stick with my little vest tops £2 in primark last forever spring back after wash lol perfect for me ...just wearing a bra yesterday for an hour drove me mad all bras are now in the bin lol x

I realise this is going to sound rediculous but I buy packets of nickers from the supermarket, leaving the seams in place, cut away the gusset, you will end up with a little bra top that will fit perfectly. Have a practice with some old nickers. It isn't a perfect solution but will make you feel better, I buy lovely patterned nice ones now cos I'm an expert haha

in reply tosouthy

Don't wear pants either lol 😀😉😉

i haven't worn one for years, have tried the comfy bras which were okay if you don't move about but need an adjuster as the straps are not long enough, so off it came, spoke to my doctor who told me to do the easiest thing. 'let them swing' what a great doctor i have, always makes me smile. at our age anyone staring at you for anything, just look them straight in the face until they turn away. at our age you shouldn't spend your life worrying what other people see and think, who cares, make your life easier do what makes you happy.

in reply tojacqui7

Our age lol I don't know how old you are but I'm young very young 58 year old and in my head welllll it will forever be 30 lol xxx

jacqui7 profile image
jacqui7 in reply to

i am only 60 yrs old, we are all 30 in our head no ones saying give up, just stop worrying about what others think, there are ways to hide wearing no bra. I am surprised you appear to have take offence, where none was intended, the idea of this site is to express our own views on matters. life is too short to worry about everyone's opinion.

in reply tojacqui7

I didn't take offence I'm sorry you think I did but very far from it ...I understand opinions etc but it was a question posed out of having humour not what ppl think

I stand outside charity shops and watch for very large women to enter. After a few minutes I go in and often I can purchase great big bras for a couple of pence. They make great bird feeders when hung all round the garden.

I don't need to wear a bra, quite a slim chap. However, it did occur to me recently I would not be able to deal with a hook and eye behind my back, my hands won't reach that far. Same if I had clothes with a zip up the back. As you can see, I have an awful lot of spare time!

in reply toInamoment

Lol I haven't worn one for years I just hate them .I have short arms but see if you were a wise woman which your not lol you would see it sensibly that they are clipped around the front and twisted round the body before you put your arms in ...I have spare time and a big mouth too 😀😀😉😉
