The first step is to see is he fit for work, subject to hospital results he should be seeing his GP. to determine is capability to continue in is present employment..
If he is unable to continue working he may be entitled to claim his full work's pension early by taking early retirement on health grounds. Can he ask his trades union for help? Please do take advice before making decisions.
Two great replies Susan so hope they help. Wishing your husband well and hoow things work out for him. My husband had to retire from work 17 years ago because of his lung problems and it was the right thing to do.
Hello Susan and it's nice that you've joined us. I can't help much with advice about benefits but would suggest you talk it through with the benefits advisors at BLF. If he's struggling with work then the best thing for both of you is that he's able to stop.
I can't help with your disability benefits question but I just wanted to say I'm sorry your husband isn't doing so great at the moment. I hope things get better soon. Thinking of you.
