I HAVE HAD MANY TEST DONE AND AM GOING TO HAVE A BREATHING TEST ON THE FEB. 21ST. THIS IS A AWFUL FEELING AND I CANT SEEM TO GET ANY ANSWERS. FOR SURGERIES I HAVE HAD GALLBLADDER REMOVED AND A PARTIAL HYSTEROCTOMY DUE TO MIGRAINES. WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS OF WHAT IS GOING ON AS THE DRS. DONT AND DONT SEEM TO CARE UNTIL IT HAPPENS TO THEM OR A LOVED ONE. THAT MAY BE MY FRUSTRATION SHOWING. I WAS TOLD IT WAS GURD WHICH IS UNDER CONTROL APPARENTLY IT WAS SILENT REFLEX STILL I AM NOT BETTER . THEN I WAS TOLD ITS ANXIETY AND HAVE NEVER HAD ANXIETY EXCEPT WITH THIS BREATHING ISSUE. I FEEL THEY TELL YOU THAT IF THEY DONT KNOW. THIS CAME FROM NOWHERE ONE DAY. I HAVE NEVER SMOKED I HAVE NO WHEEZING NO COUGH AND X-RAY OF CHEST AND SINUS ARE CLEAR AND BECAUSE OF THIS THEY DONT THINK COPD I WILL KNOW WHEN I HAVE THE BREATHING TEST . ALSO HAD CAT SCAN OF THROAT AND SINUS. THEY FOUND NOD-GELS ON MY THYROID AND MY SISTER HAD THYROID CANCER AND BECAUSE OF THE HISTORY IT WAS CHECKED RIGHT AWAY FROM HAVING A SCOPE IN MY NOSE TO MY THROAT I WAS AWAKE FOR THAT AND IT WAS AWFUL. SHE SAID NO CANCER AND I WILL BE RECHECK EVERY YEAR OR THERE ABOUT. HAS ANYONE HAD THIS FEELING OF NOT BEING ABLE TO GET A DEEP BREATH AND TEST ARE ALL GOOD. MY OXYGEN HAS BEEN 98 TO 100 THE THREE TIMES I WENT TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM. THIS AS BEEN VERY DISCOURAGING AS MY QUALITY OF LIFE HAD DECLINED VERY MUCH. I WAS HAVING THROAT ISSUES PRIOR AND HAD A HARD TIME SWALLOWING AS MY THROAT ITSELF WAS SWOLLEN AND THAT IS UNDER CONTROL THEN EXCESS MUCUS DUE TO THE SWELLING IN THROAT . THAT GOT BETTER NOW I CANT BREATH WELL A DEEP BREATH IN 24/7 WONDERING IF ACUPUNCTURE , TRIGGER POINT OR A CHIROPRACTOR MAY BE OF HELP...ANY SUGGESTIONS OR THOUGHTS ON TRYING CHIROPRACTOR TRIGGER POINT OR ACUPUNCTURE...ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GRATEFULLY APPRECIATED. I SHOULD HAVE MENTIONED I AM 45 YEARS OLD AND LOST TEN POUNDS IN A MONTH AS EATING MAKES THE BREATHING WORSE....THANK YOU FOR ANYONE WILLING TO READ THIS AND RESPOND I WILL BE FOREVER GRATEFUL....THANK YOU KIMBERLY SORRY FOR THE LENGTH OF THIS JUST PUTTING WHAT I KNOW OUT THERE AGAIN THANK YOU ALL.

Hi Kimandken. There are lots of things I can relate to in your post and I know how worrying it can be as you wait to get answers. Lung function tests will give your doctors a huge amount of information and next week will soon be here. Try not to worry - anxiety is notorious for making it difficult to breathe.

Wishing you all the best in your tests. Clare x

Hello kimandken . I can only imagine how worried you are. Not knowing what's happening is dreadful. As Clareb has said a lung function test will hold a lot of information for the doctor.

I remember going to three different specialist centres and it did take quite a bit of exhaustive testing and time to receive a definitive diagnosis. I did not have a lung biopsy but many people do.

I won't say don't worry because of course that's not possible. Talk as much as you can with your family, friends and medical team. Don't keep your worries to yourself.

Please do let us know how things go. I am thinking of you.

Cas xx❤

Lots of possibilities.

Ask gp to check b12, folate, ferritin and thyroid if not had these done previously.

Your symptoms and past surgery put you as a candidate for b12deficiency. Nip into the pernicious anemia forum and see if you can identify with some of the posts.
