Does anyone suffer from Oral Thrush due to inhailers and what treatment is used?

Yes many people get thrush you can also get it from steroid tablets ask your GP for Nystatin oral suspension I find that helpful when I get thrush

Toothpast brushing after you us you pumps that is what i was told to do when i was in hospital a few years ago

Hello Roy,

A tip for you. Immediately you have used your inhaler, clean your teeth, gargle, have a good rinse and then have a drink of tap water. Don't neglect to do this.

Yes l do, even though l am meticulous about rinsing and gargling after using my inhalers. I use Nystatin and it clears up quickly....I only ever get it when l use my Ventolin, not my other two daily inhalers....My old GP knew this.

Yes, the answer is a spacer. Live Yoghurt or pineapple chunk prevent and cure oral thrush.

I use a spacer, love fresh pineapple, and live yoghurt...I still get thrush.... I am a medical mystery 😂😂😂😂

Ohhhhhhh yes!! I get relly bad thrush from using foster and ventolin and the steroids!!

Again ..use the nystatin and rinse your mouth to roughly after using the inhalers ..even if you use the spacer
