A Dr friend of mine also suggested its use for muscle cramps following exercise. As long as it contains quinine it does work. Check contents label.
Bitter Lemon has Quinine in as well and tastes much better. I find I have most problems if I have not drunk enough fluid during the day.
I take a Quine tablet every night and has mostly stopped the cramp I was getting in bed, but hasn't done anything for the restless legs!
I took quinine tablets for years for cramp and they didn`t do a bit of good. Stopped when a pharmacist in hospital asked me if I knew how toxic they were. Restless legs had been the bane of my life for years till I booked two sessions with a reflexologist - Magic - no problem since. Sheila x
I take 600 mg gabapentin 1 hour before bedtime - takes care of legs and helps me sleep.
