Hi Edam. Weak legs are a real nuisance whatever is causing them. Do you do exercise to keep them strong? Older people tend to suffer from sarcopenia (muscle wastage) and this can be worse for those with copd. I find it helpful to climb stairs to keep my quadriceps as strong as possible. Squats are good if you can do them - sadly I cant as I have scoliosis of the spine which has kicked off after years of giving me no trouble at all. And squats are bad for scoliosis, but otherwise and all else being equal they are brilliant for strength. All power to our legs :) :) :)

Hi my respiratory nurse took me off Fostair last year and put me on Trimbow (there are 3 in this category including Trelegy but can't remember the name of the 3rd) who all do a similar job.

She said the the Fostair does only 1 job with a bit of reliever thrown in, but the others do 3 which should help with your breathing.

My suggestion is wait a while to see if it wears off but if not then ask to try Trimbow (or the other one) instead as it might be different.

I noticed my legs were weak as soon as I got out of bed this morning. How long does Trelegy stay in my system? Its been 23 hours since I last used it

Hi Edam,

Yes, it's a horrible feeling - weak legs, but I find if I move slowly with my weak legs, the weakness begins to wear of and I start feeling better. If I remain stationary, the weakness continues.

Hmmmmm, I never experienced weak legs when I was taking Trelegy. Are you sure that is what you are causing weakness in the legs ?

I did the same walk tonight as I did a couple of evenings ago. This time my legs were back to normal but unfortuneatly so was my breathing

Hi Edam,

I didn't have weak legs on Trelegy, it worked for me until it didn't when my asthma broke through the COPD in a really serious way. So consultant ( those were the days when I saw one !! ) changed it back to Relvar, this time on the higher dose and back to Incruse too.

All that was 7-8 years ago now.

Hope you get things sorted soon.

Go well.

Pauline
