Copd

I'm New here I have got cold this last 3or4months I have got problems when I lie down I get lots &lots of mucus that I have to get rid of this go's on for most of the night I have had antibiotics & steroids I have still got the problem. Anybody got the same problem. Fred2020. (That is copd not cold )

when I get flu I find it difficult to lie in bed I find sitting up a lot better. Try and see you gp ask him to refer you to a PR course they helped me loads.

Hi! Fred2020, I am new, just today...my name is Meg. I have mild emphysematous changes.... I am always sneezing and blowing my nose....no cough, never have a cough...I can't take steriods...I've always had weird allergic reactions to them...Have you tried saline up your nose...or a netti pot...even if you are coughing alot...it might help...I have a friend who had a problem like yours....he's allergic to dairy products....his favorite food....cheese..so hope you figure out what's causing your problem.

Welcome Fred, to our forum. I hope you come back & chat to us often.

Maybe have a chat to your GP or respiratory nurse about your symptoms. I presume from you saying you had abs & steroids that you're recovering from an infection. It could be it's not cleared up properly.

I should see the GP. Maybe he could prescribe to thin the mucus, carbocisteine perhaps. It worked for me.
