A month after my hip op and prepared to stay in the rehab unit over Xmas I was pleased to find I won the units raffle but the joy was Short lived when l became violently sick and confined to my room. This is now my 5th lonely day and though feeling better the unit on lock down has meant no visitors since last Fiday .wont forget this in hurry.

How awful Joyce and hope you will be able to have visitors very soon. Well done on winning the raffle anyway. Xxxxx

That's rotten luck Joyce! You must be really fed up. I hope that you're allowed visitors very soon. Take care. Pam XXX

That was a Christmas present you didn't want, Joyce. Such bad luck but presumably they have to keep the unit closed until they're sure it's clear of the bug. Glad you're feeling better and that you won the raffle. Hope you have your freedom back soon. Take care xxx

Oh joyce74 the thought of you in your wet bed,did make me chuckle. Obviously the bottle fell and emptied itself once you had dozed off !! (Or was it!!!!!) Poor you, being on a sort of lockdown until the nasty "bug" is terminated. I've had the misfortune of being admitted into ICU over Christmas period several years ago and it was very difficult for my nearest and dearest to visit due to train strikes, busses not running and a blooming burst water main right in the middle of the one and only hospital carpark!! I'm hoping that you may have a television- but then again,I've remembered the one by my bed took my money and used it up within a few hours!! Bar humbug!!! Seriously, I do hope you'll be home soon. Take care.

Oh dear, how awful for you,but at least they're taking care of everyone I guess!

Congrats on the raffle, that was lovely for you.

Let's hope you will be out of 'lockdown' soon,& enjoying visitors again,

Hugs,take care,Wen xxx

That looks a great hamper Joyce. You'll soon be able to enjoy it, when you feel better.

It's bad enough being hospitalised, but even worse when you're denied your visitors.

Hope things get back to normal soon. Hope you can get home in a few days. Do let us know how you get on 🌺
