So hey gues what? Finally I've been offered an assessment next Thursday for PR only waited 6 years and three years ago i asked why i hadn't been invited and again three months ago and wowza i have an appointment- what do they do ? They asked me to bring inhalers and what medication I'm on and walking stick if i have one - noo not yet! Flat shoes and any oxygen or whatever i may be on which I'm not!
I started having breathing probs last weekend and chest wheezing so started my steroids and antibiotics two days ago - but that will have finished by the time i get my interview. If accepted i'll have to stop work for six weeks because the sessions are two different days of the week - thankfully not my college day so i think i'll look forward to 6 weeks of not working and just carry on with my counselling degree.
I'm a bit π excited folks

Just been reading your post on Samarian Gorge. It's nice to know that someone is as crazy as me, lol! Huge respect. I always said I wanted to do it before I was 60 and I was so proud to have completed it. It's probably the most challenging walk I've ever done, with the terrain and the 40c heat. I had my head in every available water trough and the river. Looked a real state, but didn't care!
So glad you're getting a shot at PR. Just on my second week and loving it. Starting to feel the benefits already. Good luck with the assessment and I hope that you'll be on your course very soon.
Wow you did the samarian gorge too!! We were the last ones out!!! I was offered a donkey in the last bit on the river bed but something in my made me determined to do it
Yes me too i couldn't walk!! My partner had been asking me for years to do it and this year i plucked the courage only because it's mainly down hill lol
Yes that would be good but i took a new job whilst studying as a bank worker so i work when i want but i don't get paid sickness but like zero hours so that if i had a few assignments i could take time out of this job whilst I'm training, -alsopart of the degree is to work 100 hours in a placement so i needed a very flexible job
