What would like a vaccination for ? - Lung Conditions C...
What would like a vaccination for ?
Hi Nanny, what a great idea to be able to have a vaccine to get rid of whatever our conditions are. Impossible I know, but we can dream, can't we!
Of course if none of us had lung conditions anymore we could still chat online to each other. We would just have to rename the forum.
Something happy & positive! Something optimistic, enthusiastic, kind & caring. Actually, that's just what we all are!
Lung conditions or not, I'm sure we would all still be friends! π
I'm sure your right Jessy ,, we don't know where our friends on here ,or what they look like really ,or where in the country/world they are living ,but it doesn't seem to matter does it , ,,we all have one thing in common ,,,,πββοΈπ€π€π·π«π₯ππβ€οΈ9οΈβ£9οΈβ£9οΈβ£,,,and it's a bond of caring ,
Jessy, Yes, you are right. It is something indefinable, not only do we share breathing problems. Not one of us knows each other apart from on here. Maybe a vaccination against isolation, and fear of the future for those newly diagnosed.
Brilliant idea Jennifer ,that would be lovely ,it's very scary when first diagnosed,,,,,,tough to take in ,,,,,,
Forgive me as Im not one who notices details ,,,, but have you changed your photograph,,,,???
Vaccination against eating too much would do me just fine Nanny. πππ»
Oh yes. I get that one. Broaden it to vaccination against weak will-power?
K x
i thought of one so i could eat what i want without putting weight on, guess my mind set is set to greedy person
What a lovely idea! It's a bit of a no brainer for me.......an anti-anxiety vaccination would be wonderful. Peace! XXX
To give me Energy and to stop the breathlessness.
take care
polly xx
I'll ditto Pollys wishππ
Keep breathing , ,,,, treat yourself to a day of resting ,x
Oh how wonderful would it be to be vaccinated against enjoying Maltesers.......I see I have a friend in you! heh heh
Haha,,,sorry Jennifer ,,,but I don't like sharing my Maltesers, ,,,,I remember once when I was in hospital for my first asthma attack I was put on steroids for the first time ,,,,,a friend visited me with some useful items ( as I wasn't prepared for hospital stays back then ) the usual wet wipes ,talc ,deodorant ,magazine etc etc ,,,and a box of Maltesers ,,,,other visitors arrived around my bed and one said " open your Maltesers " oh no I don't feel up to eating them at the moment ,,,,I'll try them tomorrow " . ,,,later the bell rang visiting time over ,,,,,I had a wash ,changed my nightdress and settled down with ,,,,,,,, MY Maltesers ,,,, the steroids kicked in and I was down to the last two when the nurse came to give me my medication ,,,,ooooo Maltesers,,,,,help yourself I said ,,,,and ,,, SHE HAD THEM,,,,BOTH ,,,hahahax
,,,
a vaccination to stop women nagging , who brings that out would be a multimillionaire over night bet there would be so many requests it would take the internet down
Only you bungalow boy ,, ,only you ,,,,everyone else wants a vaccine against coughs ,tiredness, dieting ,,, even world peace ,,,,but no not you ,,,,,you have to lower the tone and have another go at us ladies,,,,,,Dawn ,,,Dawn ,,,,Dawn ,,,can you hear him having a go at us ,,,,,hit him with something close by ,,,preferably something heavy ,,,,,, lol ,π‘β οΈ
there would be peace all over the world for billions of mens ears , dawns gone to sleep she didn't sleep very well last night she had an mri scan for her back first thing this morning then she worries she will wake up late and be late for appointment ,
Oh ,forget the other stuff ,, I'm so sorry to hear your Dawns not well ,I hope she manages a good nights sleep tonight ,and is soon feeling much better ,
I know how she feels I had to give up work as a home help in 1994 due to my back ,mine was caused by lifting the then old people, as I worked in the community as a home help assistant ,and the same disc kept popping out ,,,,osteopath said he couldn't put it back the last time ,, hence my gp wouldn't let me go back to work ,,,,so Dawn has my sympathy ,,,you take care of her ,make sure you make her a nice cup of tea,,love to both ,xx
she is waiting to have a spinal block done hers never been right since she had a epidural for child birth , yours sound a bit like mine I had to have a spinal fusion done loads of screws and plates in back now , they wouldn't let me go back to work after that that was before the breathing problems I was only 31 at time I told consultant social wouldn't have that at my age he said any problems with them tell them to contact me , so far been ok with them so not sure what he told them ,
Sounds like you've got /had a god consultant there ,I was in fact lucky as my GP said I would be the one in a wheel chair if I carried on working ,my lung problems were just beginning I remember I wrote in my diary must give up the cigarettes there killing me , ,that was a year to the day I was blue lighted into hospital and also the day I stopped smoking ,,,,,sadly I couldn't make a claim against social services as ,the last time it happened (disc) I should have waited for someone to come and help me the man off the floor ,, but he had been there most of the night ,,,just tripped going to the bathroom and fell couldn't get back up ,,,, how could I sit and wait another 30 minutes when he was asking me to get him on the bed , ,,,end of my story end of my job ,,,,when help arrived they had to send for 2 ambulances one for him and one for me ,,,I was bent over looking at the floor and couldn't straighten up ,,,I was put on traction ,etc etc , I spent a fortune on osteopaths over the years,,,I used to go to a fab one near Telford called mr Terry ,he was the man who helped that motor bike rider ,Barry Sheen ,,,,,anyway love to Dawn ,, best wishes to you both ,ππ
I know exactly how you was try straighten up it was like a wall of pain , I was same I only bend over to pick a t shirt up , I had to walk pushing down on a long brush handle if I let go of the brush I fell straight down , dawn and I wasn't living together at the time I stayed at her couple of week but had to have carers when I got home to wash and dress me , my boss sent me to either a osteopath or chiropractor cant remember which boss said I will pay so when I said ok I will go he said you can pay me back once you get back to work I went once he didn't know if he could cure me or not but to have 6 sessions to see I thought bugger that at Β£35.00 per session then maybe no better so never went back took hospital 10 months before they done scan to find out what it was , before scan I went to loads of different departments that were a waste of time and money ,
Guess I was lucky to have a good osteopath first ,,,he was reccomended by the Physio at our health practice ,,she was combining out to me 3 times a week to get me up and about ,I'd go back to work ,,,few weeks later she was back ,,,she said she'd done all she could and reccomended MR Terry ,then eventually, Well you know the rest ,
Or a vaccination to stop the muscular tic known as 'walletis retractus' π
Ooooohhhh took a minute ,,,but then ,,,,I got it , Hubby would like that one to ,,, I bet bungalow boy would aswell ,π€
On reflection...perhaps a bit Harry Potter π« π
I wouldn't want to cause Malcolm that much pain!!

Getting your drift Tee , no bungalow boy needs to be treated with care ,,,,so he can take care of Dawn ,,,,ππ flowers for Dawn ,
I bought a couple of trays of pansies on Thursday does that count
Well it does count Malcolm if they were for Dawn! How is she today? I'm sorry you've both been plagued by back problems. Having a bad back is a very painful experience!
Take care of each other π·

So Harry Potter world here we come! I can't wait! I've read all the books & seen every film. You should watch them Malcolm! πΊ
