Hi Zahid1518 just like to welcome you to the forum. Being a Bank Holiday it is a bit quite on here today but I'm sure someone will be along eventually that can help.

Have a nice day.

Regards. John

Yes that's the mountain name ta safe for foreigners dw lol

I think you must mean khewra? I don't think it's the inhalers causing your problems, though maybe you have an intolerance to a particular inhaler. I suggest talking to your gp to try a different one.

Yes that's the mountain lol I was there it's safe even fit foregners lol

Here's the website to search for UK clinical trials ukctg.nihr.ac.uk/ Not surprisingly, there don't seem to be any for khewra.

I don't know about clinical trials, but there are salt caves in the UK that can help. Here's one saltcave.co.uk/ but if you Google 'Salt Caves UK' you'll find others.

Hi what is a salt pipe and where can u buy one from my diet is good I think being Asian lamb curry rice chicken lentils veg etc

in reply toZahid1518

Sounds yummy! If you type salt pipe into the search box you'll see previous posts about them. It seems the jury's out. You can buy one on Amazon. I nebulise 7% saline which is much stronger & it does thin the stuff in my chest. Trials have shown 3% saline isn't effective so personally I'm doubtful about salt pipes

I've been taking Symbicort inhaler for the last 6 weeks and I've stopped taking it the last few days as I have lung function tests tomorrow. I was having loads of mucus up but it's so much better since I've stopped taking the symbicort, so I think it's the inhaler causing mucus in my case....I'm hoping not to take it any more as I feel no different since I've stopped taking it. Algthough it may be early days yet .

Hi many years ago Symbicort was going to be the wonder inhaler to improve all chest complaints but only worked for some ! I tried it but had no extra relief from it alas so stopped using it it was yet another inhaler at the time among other long list of meds I was on , but with hi insight now I had not just got asthma but COPD and bronchitis to so it was not going to work . It may be best to talk to your GP before you stop taking it .

in reply toGreatbanks

Hi, ...I had to stop taking it as I had lung function tests today. I wasn't going to carry on taking it but I have taken it tonight as my chest was hurting after doing the test. Feel like I've strained my chest! 😩
