Afternoon all. Is there anyone on here that takes the Teva brand of Azithromycin 500mg, this might sound mad but I can't the tablets if they're blue so I've ended up with 7 packets I can't use. If anyone wants them let me know, prescription are expensive if your still paying for them.

I didn't mean for someone to take them that hasn't been prescribed them, thats not what I said, rather than throw the tablets someone might want them that has to pay.

How thoughtful of you, kimmy. I don't pay for prescriptions but am sure someone who takes them and does pay will be glad of the offer
What a kind thought kimmy. I can't take them and don't have to pay either. I hope they will help someone.
Someone not a million miles away (you know who you are) sent me a 'weird Christmas pressie' of hypertonic saline when I couldn't get them because there was a problem at the makers Forrest and it made such a difference to me and I will never forget.
Hi Kimmy you say you can't take tablets if they're blue! Is this because you react to the blue? If so what effect do they have. I reacted to some medication a few months ago and my doctor couldn't figure out why. They were blue and I wonder if this is like you? Barbs x
It sounds mental but I've been taking Azit since December 2013 and been infection free,I tested my theory when I'm taking the Teva one I end up with an infection.
The pharmacy assistant is my neighbour and I ask if she would find out if my theory held water, she said people often don't want coloured tablets, and my brother in law who has Emphysema can't take a red coated Antibiotic but can take the white one.
It must be the E numbers.I have checked the ingredients of my Sandoz against the Teva mine don't have E numbers and are white. My problem now is my chemist can't get Sandoz, I've been in touch with them who told me Boots stock them but they can't get them either.
No what I really am trying to find out is - is it the blue of the capsule that I react to not the medication (the medication was carbocisteine). Barbs x
