Hi all am new to the site having just found it. Was diagnosed with mesothelioma last September and after having major operation in November the cancer has returned so chemo starts soon and am a little nervous. Trying to stay positive and fit before I start.

Dear Susyone - welcome to this friendly site. No wonder you are feeling nervous. Good for you in trying to stay positive and keep fit; that will put you in a 'good place' to start from. However, let yourself feel scared when it happens - something I found helpful was to give myself a time limit to feel this and then go back to how I was before. Keep us posted with how you get on - there is a lot of support here.
Thank you so much for your feedback and advise. So nice to have found this site with support and will keep posting.
Welcome to the site. I'm sorry I don't know anything about your condition, but I will keep you in my thoughts. So glad you found us.

So sorry to read about ya dx. Befoure your opperations did they not talk about immune therapy as way of fighting it.
Thanks for your input but no one has mentioned immune therapy. What is it please?
If you had asbestos claim accepted insurance companies should fund your immunotherapy treatment.

Hi Susyone,
Welcome, take your time to digest your news. Cry, swear stamp your feet then build up your positive attitude. I did when told 13 months ago stage 4 terminal.
Look up Nivolumab it is a newly released drug which your Oncologist can ask for early release for you.
Check if it is for your kind of cancer, wasn't for mine but I have met some people on it with good results.
Alternatively ask if there are any trials that would suit you. I'm on one at the moment.
Here for you.
Love Suzyxxx
Ps ask, question everything and be proactive..
