Does any bodyelse get breathless when taking nebulized colomycin
Thanks Terry
Yes Terry. Though not everyone gets it, Colomycin is well known for causing bronchospasm. If you read the leaflet that comes with the medicine, you will see it mentioned. Most people get around it by nebulising Ventolin either before or after.
Colo seems to affect people differently. I took it in the early 2O00s for a few years and had no bother whatsoever. But when re-introduced to it in 2014, it made me more breathless from the word go. I gave it up at the end of 2014 and while I felt better initially, within a few months I started developing various bugs which made life difficult. Now, I'm taking it again and still feels it makes me that little bit more breathless but I'm sticking with it this time. Speak to your doctor about nebbing some Ventolin before you take the Colo.
Hi Terry, I am on it at the moment and it is making me feel worse. Some people cannot tolerate it I was told by COPD nurse. I will stick it for a week and see how I am.
You should neb Ventolin before the Col to open the airways

Yes it affected my breathing so bad that I had to stop using it.
Hi Terry
The SOB doesn't always show up at assessment. I was fine with it. I gradually became inceasingly breathless during the following week. I was eventually admitted as I couldn't string a sentence together. Please contact your consultant for advice.
Good luck
